Same guy who leaked PS3 slim has leaked CROSS GAME CHAT info!

What i find funny is that 360 fanboys always brag about consoles main/only use is for playing games.. AND ITS TRUE..

So i dont undestand why they defend paying extra for XBL which its MAIN/ONLY purpose would be playing games ONLINE by listing a couple of extra features such as cross game chat which is NOT ESSENTIAL for online gaming.. I repeat it is in NO WAY ESSENTIAL to play games online..

If we have to compare XBL & PSN they are on par because both do well what their MAIN use is, which is playing gamesonline.. Then we can discuss the different features both offer but that wont be the deciding factor on which is a better service..

I play games like FIFA2009, BF:BC, COD4 etc etc on both systems and perform the exact same way on both.. So the only difference is on PSN i play them onlinefor FREE while I pay extra on XBL..

If PSN gets cross-game chat its a nice addition but surely not essential for online gaming... If for 360 fanboys, Blu-ray, WIFI & a web browser are not essential for a gaming console, the same way applies for cross-game chat, it is just a feature but surely doesnt serve as an EXCUSE for having to pay extra for XBL.. Remember we are paying extra for XBL while playing online for other systems who perform equally or better (PC) is FREE OF CHARGE..

100% agree-- Cross Game chat is no way "essential" like Mortal-Decay says it is. I'd even put forth that Sony does its main job of offering online play better than Live seeing as dedicated servers exist on the Playstation 3. Live is more fine tuned, but they offer additional content that has no direct impact on playing a game online. Alpha-Male22

People tend to forget that an online service has to be primarily judged by its performance and not extra features.... In such case since both XBL & PSN perform equally online for me no service is superior to the other.. So I ask is it worth paying $50 for cross-game chat & a couple of extra features not related directly to gaming?? NO, but 360 fanboys wont agree because somehow they feel the need to convince themselves they are getting so much more for the $xx amount they are paying extra..

Saying XBL is superior cause it offers a couple of extra features is stupid in the same way saying PSN is superior because it has more games with 32 players online and even more (Resistance 1 & 2 and the upcoming MAG) because that doesnt relate directly to the service.. Devs can surely make an online game of up to 32+ players online for 360 in the same way Sony can implement cross-game & other features currently available only on XBL..

1) Bash PSN

2) Defend the $xx more we have to pay for XBL to play online

The PS2 used a hadrware version of DRM-like protection iirc so software emulation alone wouldn't allow BC.

I can't wait for this. This is the only thing PSN is missing as opposed to live IMO.

I love it. Now PS fanboys now can say they almost have a feature that has been with live for awhile now all they gotta do with the cross chat feature is to actually give you mics that dont cost $50+ so i can understand what your saying. Hopefully when the voice chat is intergrated into PSN it will be more useful than say custom soundtracks on the PS3 cause that is so working in all your gamesVipa37

Did anyone notice in the 3.00 vid, that around 3mins 10 secs it jumps to him talking about themes. Missing anything about the firends list. Looks to me as though they edited out the cross game chat part of the vid for one reason or another. I'd have thought they would have done the whole thing in one as i think th eothers were done.hoosier7

Correction it should be a standard when u pay for an online service, not if the service if free. when u pay for something, u should have everything, not jus pieces. When its free u get what u get. Psn has grown so mush for being such a free service its ridiculous. whats really sad for live, is that lets say im playing cod mw2, im having the exact same fun that ur having on live, but yet i havent paid a cent for my service..yet i still get cross game text chat, game invites, ingame xmb, ect. but even with out the features just playing the game online, im having the same amount of fun live people are having except i didnt pay for it. See what i did there?
