Why? Shouldn't the game that gets the most buzz at the show be declared Game of the Show? E3 is not a show where you can judge the final product, but, rather, a show where you can see the potential of upcoming games.

Scribblenauts had the most potential. Therefore, it was Game of the Show.

Nope man, not just a few people... I think you should remember after E3 this board was flooded with Scribblenauts topics on how it'd be GotY.

Well, I don't know if you were the only one, but I did create a topic asking for people to point me out why it was sooooooo hyped. I guess you can say I was always skeptical about it.

Scribblenauts is only as good as your imagination.

Sure you can solve multiple puzzles with the same combinations, but that isn't really the point of the game. Is it? I've taxed myself to do something different with every puzzle because I have those resources available to me thanks to the developer. For anyone who simply breezes through the game, of course it won't be anything special. It will be quite a forgettable experience.

However, for those of you who actually challenge yourselves and your brain, you will find what I believe is one of the most, if not the most, rewarding experiences in gaming.

8.0 with finicky controls or not, this is one amazing game.

Shame. Oh well, I still can't wait to get this and build me some Pterodactyl bridges.

Yea I heard about controls and it sounds like they didint think it through with that.

I swear there were a bunch of people calling this game of the year and how is its better than halo and uncharted, and the same time making extreme remarks over other games as well.

Whereas Uncharted only won Game of the Show on X-Play. People were impressed with the concept of Scribblenauts. It was the darling of the show. Everyone was talking about it and sharing stories of what they were able to do in it on the show floor. There is no arguing that Scribblenauts, a game that came out of no where for most people, stole the show.

It's great that a game has those kind of resources for you to just play with. However it's a balancing issue on the developers part if someone can get away with "breezing" through a game. I want the game to challenge me, not me challenge myself artificially.

Kidding. Although, I can't say I'm suprised. The hype of the game was ridiculous... 8.0 is still a great score though, regardless of what it was hyped.

There goes the "GOTY.":lol: I knew it would end up like Spore. Anyway despite it being a flop through, it good to see that it still a good game, so I will at least rent it. Hopefully if they have a sequel, they will fix the controls.

I guess the 'adorable and cuteness' game still is held by sackboy.

8 is about right. I love this game though. As does my wife and she has never played a DS game before. I put it down to go to the bathroom and can't get it back now. Great game. On a side note, M&L Bowsers Inside story is amazing.

Seems right. The game does have some control issues, but I manage around it.

I'd doubt there's actually going to be much damage control. The people who claim ownage will laugh at all the losers on the internet who hyped this flop, while the people who actually hyped it AAA GOTY will probably be off having fun playing Scribblenauts.
