Nice to see Bayo 3 reemerge, but that paid upgrade to play more old games on Switch Online is some bullshit.
Most people who own a Switch probably already own most of those games in one form or another too. I know I do.

So outside of Bayonetta 3 the direct was absolute garbage
Chris Pratt as mario (voice?) in the movie- absolute cringe, even coming from someone who likes him as an actor
Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong- yup this movie is gonna flop good one Nintendo
@omegamaster: "Nice to see N64 and Sega Genesis games make an appearance on the Switch. Am I right in saying it's tied to Nintendo Switch Online members only? If so, that kinda sucks for those who don't want to play online"
Worse actually, online subscribers need to pay extra to expand their online subscription to include N64 and Genesis games, so the base online subscription will not apply to these. I am done with it after after my year is up because the NES/SNES subscription has some good stuff but it isn't adding enough and it is a drizzle. Sucks we can't buy these games either. Thankfully most these I own on Wii/WiiU and 3DS, so I'll stick with those.
Pretty much only interested in the new Kirby game and the ACNH update. Hoping they're adding a bunch of new features other than Brewster seeing as it's getting it's own Direct in October.
On another note, kind of salty about the Nintendo Online Expansion and having to pay more. Just gonna stick with the standard one for now.
Bayonetta 3 is finally revealed. Kind of looks a little more Astral Chain though. Just replace cops with Bayo.
3D Kirby! After all these years of not willing to even try that.
Castlevania Advance trilogy.
And KOTOR (original version) on Switch. Awesome, but anyone find it odd that XBOX/PC centric Star Wars games are on the Switch (KOTOR, Jedi Academy, Republic Commando) BEFORE any of the Nintendo centric ones (Rogue Squadron, Super Star Wars, Shadows of the Empire)?
Yeah, I liked what I saw.
@girlusocrazy: /shrug, just looks dated. ☹️
Yeah but I kinda expect that on the Switch, it doesn't bother me too much
They were going to hate it no matter what. If they didn't show Bayonetta you'd have them saying "where's Bayonetta?!" Now that they've shown Bayonetta "looks like trash." There was never any winning with them.
And people were saying that the last Sony show was bad.🤣This was the definition of laughable. Literally nothing is coming, so lets just just charge for dlc subs. Like what kind of company does that? Even EA/Acvtision aren't this low.
Nothing new other than a new Kirby game. I dont understand why they used this Direct to announce two more: AC and Sakurai Presents.
Excited for: Bayo 3, SMT V, Metroid, new Kirby game, DLC for Rise, and of course the last Smash character.
N64 and Genesis games being paywalled behind a higher tier is complete arse. No thanks Nintendo. Overall a very average Direct. 5/10.

They're still mad that it still avoiding PS/XBOX/PC despite the fact that since Bayo 2, Sony, MS and IP owner SEGA being like...
Was a decent show, wasn't expecting much more tbh.
Bayo 3 looks incredible as expected, and the 3D Kirby game looks cool (it was giving me Mario Odyssey vibes, which is a good thing). And it'll be great having Ocarina of Time etc on Switch too.

Only winner this year is Xbox for giving PS4 and PS5 high quality Xbox games. Xbox Finally having a good year showing Playstation and Nintendo how it's done.
Judging by the desperate damage control from @hardwarezen and the other cows I am concluding this was a pretty good show! Looking forward to see it tonight after work:)

lol we both know that "they gave" it to Sony way before they were even owned by MS. If MS had something such as Starfield for 2021, i would agree, but Halo Infinite, a game that looks like it was supposed to come out in 2015, and a racing game, is not what i would consider a good year either.
Is this the part where I say "Reimu for Smash"?
Personally, I think the suggestion for putting Touhou's resident shrine maiden into the game has been something of a joke that's been blown way out of proportion and she's definitely not my first pick for a Smash guest. In fact, I'd actually ask for Geralt of Rivia, though I think we've reached a point where "cute red/white armpit maiden" is more likely than a western RPG protagonist that miraculously carved his way into the Japanese gaming market.
It was a decent show contrary to what some haters are trying to say .. they showed some good games such as Kirby 3D, Splatoon 3, Bayo 3, and some of the ones we already know about like Metroid and Mario Party ..
Having to pay for N64 is greedy though which I will not support ..
Nintendo are doing a good job now better than the last 1.5 years ..
Which was the new controller they announced? Was it the N64 controller?
And a Sega Genesis controller. $50 each.
Ok, it's too much now. Took them over 4 years to add N64 games, and when they do, you'll need to pay even more to play them.
Doubt I'll be getting Nintendo's next console now. Fucking assholes. Never have it felt better to dowload roms.
You're not fooling anyone. 👀

It will be extremely hard to not play the latest Zelda and Mario, but Nintendo are really trying to push me away. If I have to pay like 400 bucks, coupled with many frustrations to play them, I think I'll just not bother. I think I'll just play them through.. other means. *cough
@luxuryheart: them? Who are you lumping me in with here? Might want to check my history before you do.
The two problems I have worry me about the game. First one I have is that Bayonetta herself looks great but then everything else looks horrible. The juxtaposition is worse than having everything look “decent.” Now, the second one is the gameplay, it looks like nothing new. The combos seemed tired action fare and the sense of scale was lost during the infernal showcase.
Am I still a “them?”

You can always buy this as an option
@hardwenzen: I know you’re trolling but BOTW2, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread, Splatoon 3, Kirby, SMT V, Pokémon Legends Arceus...
That’s quite a lot.
Botw2 is for the Switch2, and to be released for last gen at the same time, just like botw1 was. A 2023 title. Don't be too certain about Bayonetta3 coming out next year. The showing felt more like "Hi, we're still alive and we have this game that is 60% ccomplete, guys". Probably tired of reminding people on twitter than the project hasn't been canned yet. Pokemon titles are made by the worse devs around. It will be a lazy forgettable game, nothing to be hyped about.
If you're into Dread, Kirby, SMT and Splatoon3, sure. I do like how you didn't mention Metroid 4 lol you know damn well the situation there😁So yea, not trolling much, its just looking painfully awful until they have a console refresh, and who says they need to try if the system keeps on selling on its own. The way the Switch is currently supportly might very well be the new standard for Nintendo until they have actual competition.

Doesn't matter if you're hyped or not. They got tons of games in the pipeline so your whole "lololol Nintendo has nothing coming up" trolling scheme kinda falls flat.

Then do yourself and fans who still want to support Nintendo's games (and not their online services) a favor. Do it! It couldn't be more apparent you thought everything after GameCube (despite that platform's reputation at the time, which you've frequently denied), everything has gone to Hell all because it doesn't appeal to you.
Maybe it's time for you to move on.

I don't think everything has gone to hell after the GC. I like a lot of things from Nintendo after the GC. Their BC has been atrocious since the Wii U though. And what reputation have I frequently denied? I loved the GC. The masses didn't. The latter is well known.
Yeah, I might move on. That's what I said.
Also, why are people so shocked the controllers are as pricey as they are? It sucks, but it's not just a Nintendo thing, it's been an upward trend with all three major companies for a while. And it doesn't help that economies as of late have been inflated as f***.

Given you slammed Metroid Dread (and denied that), slammed the Switch itself for being a port house, among many others. Dude, I see the smoking gun.
I'm just saying: don't bluff on promises.

If you consider what's coming to the Switch as titles worth talking about, then Sony has an incredible lineup, and you don't even need to wait 2022-2023.
@hardwenzen: Sony don’t have anything good coming out. At least Nintendo has a bunch of amazing and very diverse gameplay focused games. If I wanted to watch gameplay, I’d hop on YouTube.
Sony just got a 10/10. What's your opinion about it, and for how many years do i need to wait on Nintendo to have a 10/10?
A SEGA Genesis controller will be offered as an optional product to buy as part of Nintendo Switch Online. Members of the service will have an opportunity to buy the device, which is compatible with the classic games that will soon be added to the service.
In Japan, a different version of the SEGA Genesis controller is planned with six buttons. The western version only has three. The SEGA Genesis controller was initially limited to three buttons when it originally released, though it saw a different version with six buttons later on, and it was not just limited to Japan.
Nintendo shared a brief statement with IGN about the SEGA Genesis controller situation for Switch Online. The company said:
“For the U.S. and Canada, a replica of the original SEGA Genesis controller is the available model. This was by far the more widely used and well-known SEGA Genesis controller in these regions.”

You say "people" but look at who you're talking about. Paid shills, trolls, con artists, fan boys and the dregs of society in general. People who aren't liked by their own families, have no friends except a piece of plastic or two.
