hmm... tough to say. Well, if we count trilogies sequels.. MP3 > MP2 Paper mario TTYD > Paper Mario yeah... in most cases, sequels are better, but don't give you that... omfg feeling. MP1 was that game that gave me that omfg feeling, while MP2 and MP3 play better and such, MP1 had teh best "at the moment" feeling.
I prefer MGS2 to the original, though I'm sure people are split on that one.

MGS2 took the story and overcomplicated it, not to mention it got rid of Snake for that whiny Raiden for over half the game. I really enjoyed MGS2, don't get me wrong, but how does it possibly compare to MGS?
Maybe the Philips one. But I don't think it beats A Link to The Past. I agree Link to the Past was the best for me... of course I've never really played the first two.

I actually liked all the filers personally.. I know a lot of people complained but it gave everyone that was involved much more personality and really brought them to life... I didn't really appreciate this until MGS3 where everyone was just there to do their job and there was nothing more to it. And playing as Raiden and looking through his eyes was pretty cool watching snake and all I liked Raiden too never minded his novice-ness.

No way. Resident Evil 4 was an amazing game, but it was a terrible Resident Evil. As I stated before, I am much more fond of Resident Evil 2. I really enjoyed Resident Evil 4, but it's not the best Resident Evil, because I don't think of it as a Resident Evil game.
Majora's Mask was far better than OoT. Golden Sun 2 was better than Golden Sun. SSBM was better than SSB. I can't think of too many others. nintendofreak_2
Yeah I forgot to say Melee, that game also was better than the first one in every single way. Dunno for the other ones though.

RE4 was something else.. Ironically enough it had the main character from the second one it :P ironic no? RE4 was great, I actually own a Novel based upon RE2.

The hilarious part was Mario Borthers 2 isn't even a mario borthers game.. The original game wasn't even a mario game it was something completely else in Japan.. What they did was change the characters to the likeness of Mario and released it in the US.
