It's great, but not nearly as good as the reviews.
Anyone agree, because when me and my friends played it for 3 hours, we wanted to play Soul Calibur to get the bad taste out of our systems.

I don't understand what the hype was behind SFIV. It's a great series, but as far as I'm concerned Tekken and SC have always been betterCouth_
Tekken and SC are probably the worst fighters. VF and SF are the winners.
Disagree. SF > SC over and over again. SFIV is the best fighter in years.BioShockOwnz
Best fighter since Virtual Fighter, Street Fighter 2 and Bashido Blade imo.
Im not a HUGE fighter fan anymore, compared to when i was younger, but i still think SF4 is an amazing game, a 9/10 is a perfect score for it imo.

Yep, I was always pretty huge into fighters though and still am, mostly kept up with KoF, Virtua Fighter, and Guilty Gear every version, and the others a little less consistently, and SFIV is defiantly the best in a long time.Well I don't have the game but I think you might be right.Bigboi500I stopped reading. :| SFIV is not something you can see, or read about, to fully understand the changes, you have to play it.

This is the first of the inevitable series of "SF4 is Overrated" blah blah blah, every game does through this. Apparently the TC thinks he's cool to be different! :D
imo,
best 2D fighter: Street Fighter and Guilty Gear
best 3D fighter: Tekken. (DoA, Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter sucks). when I'm hitting my opponents, I feel like I'm hitting rubber, they bounce like plastic.

Care to elaborate? The 2-button grabs help prevent mashers from having any random advantages, the focus attacks add a whole other element to the combat, watch some high level player videos, the way you can come in and out of them can turn around some matches. The revenge bar might not be innovative, but the trade off of taking damage vs dealing damage to perform a super also freshens up the game play and adds more complex strategies in the form of deciding which to go with, the TRIAL modes help teach anyone how to perform high level combos and techniques, to prevent scrubs from being with the game forever, it may take a whole for people to go through them or to see a difference, but it definatly makes it a lot easier to learn how to do the "elite" combos, the unlockables also give good reasons to practice longer on single player (again to try to prevent poor players from just spamming or not knowing how to play) and the ability to play arcade mode and allow people to challange you (through an option) while your in arcade mode, makes it an authenic "arcade experiance" as well as giving you something to do when waiting for an online match.
Again, all these might not mean much in text, but when you actually play the game and form strategies with them, it greatly improves the experiance. The fighting genre is far from dead, I play a great new fighter every few months, people are just not dedicated enough to try new fighters, so they pretend they don't exist or something.

That does sound pretty good. I'll pick this one up when the price drops a bit and when I get gold. What I meant by almost dead genre was that the genre really don't have much room to improve greatly.[QUOTE="Couth_"]I don't understand what the hype was behind SFIV. Street Fighter has a level of depth FAR beyond Tekken, same with Virtua Fighter, if you think otherwise, you're misinformed, its a fact. You might prefere fighters with less depth, or might not be good enough at SFIV, but its factually a deeper fighter, with a lot more going for it in terms of gameplay, then Tekken ever has or ever will.Disagree. SF > SC over and over again. SFIV is the best fighter in years.BioShockOwnzI agree, While I love SC 4(have 68 hrs clocked in so far) but SF4 is great. I love the fact it reminds me of my grade school days playing SF2 getting my arse whooped by my bros (Now I beat all the time LOL). As for SF 4 being overrated it deserves all the praise it gets IMO.

It's just opinions. I agree with him, I enjoyed Tekken and Guilty Gear more than Street Fighter. Sorry, the Tekken and SC are joke franchises.
I wouldn't say they are joke franchises, they just don't have as much depth as Street Fighter. I still enjoy them though.Had it not been for the mass casualisation, it wouldnt have turned out so dumbed downFirstDiscoveryWHile I know I didn't play 3rd strike. I don't think SFIV is a game you can say is really dumbed down. I like the offensive focus because it makes each match intense and really unpredictable.

I think you should get SFIV and put down the awful Tekken 5: DR PS3 port.

Hey now no need to bash SC. I honestly dont like VF at all. Its way to tecnical. If you miss just one button in anything your dead.
Even though I love hte SC series I have to say SF4 was more enjoyabel then SC4. It feels really balanced. Especially online. SC4 felt really cheap cause of anoying players, but SF4 there isint many ways to be be a spamer. One example was me being abel and fighting again someone as ryu. He was spaming hadukens and it was easy to break that spam. All I really want is a guilty gear online.finalfantasy94There's a Guilty Gear 2 online for Xbox. I think it may be part of Xbox Originals but I know it's also BC for the 360.
