Those 8's and 9's that were played by 8 or 9 people would have had 5 or 6 players if the game received a 5 or 6.

Besides these studies are more about about games that people are actually aware of.

Very happy about the reviews, I had it preordered, but would have cancelled if below a 7 at worst. And I do tend to go by reviews. Many years ago I blindly purchased games and ended up disappointed often, or even disgusted with how awful a game turned out to be. Got tired of throwing away money and have relied on reviews ever since. And because of that have never played a game that was horrible since.

The gtx 780ti only sold the 6gb version for a very limited amount of time and the other cards were not exactly gamer cards even if they could run games well.....especially the 3k version of the TitanZ.

Sadly, current game quality is an incredibly lackluster justification for violently violating a kind mans legacy of promoting love and whimsical adventure by cynically creating a paradox of the values and message conveyed, specifically designed to appeal to the most debase side of human nature.

This is apologist justification. A human-being lowering them-self and there values to give personal blessing towards short term pleasure, symptomatic of today's diseased culture.

I'm glad this game is getting positive reviews, not because of the game itself - I have little interesting for it, albeit I might get it eventually - but becaus of Monolith. They gave us game like Claw, No One Lives Forever 2 and FEAR. I hope they can get back to their former glory.

I've said it before, but Mr Huggles is also an alt. It's obvious. Cranler needs to atleast put some effort into it

We still don't know the official resolution or frame rates for either consoles. Weird, considering the game's launching ina few days. I think they'll announce it today, with reviews coming in.

Some statements from months ago indicate the ps4 is at 1080p, and that they where aiming for 60fps on both.

My hype was exactly met (I think I literally predicted an 8 a month or so ago) Although, I wasn't hyped to the extent of pre ordering. I think I'm gonna have to wait a while before I can get this.

6 gb... It's like Watch Dogs all over again lol. There's really no need for 6 gb vram in ANY game. Jeez, I hope that doesn't mean that the normal textures are low res. I mean, I guess when they say ultra high textures, they mean 4k+. So, I guess it won't matter for people playing at 1080p like me.

@parkurtommo: It's bullshit. Watch dogs "needed" a 780 to be maxed out. Yeah right, lots of 2GB lower cards ran it at 1080 ultra, like my 760.

I've yet to see a game that needs more than 2 gb of vram. You're telling me SoM that looks like a cross gen title, which it is, needs 3GB of VRAM to run at high settings, specially with the PS4 being stimated to be 1080p high?

The Lord of the Rings really does seem like a terrible license to use for a game like this.

Ah well, I'll be fine with dat gtx 970! :v I think a 4 gb card is really necessary for the next few years, because ga~mes are starting to have some really detailed textures. Not that they should need so much VRAM, just that they will. Watch Dogs was enough to convince me that I could not under any circumstance upgrade to a 2gb card, it had to be 4gb.

Looks good however occupied with other games. Will certainly consider buying when the game goes on sale.

@uninspiredcup: Have you read the books? Albeit not entirely dark and morbid or anything like that, LotR is actually pretty intense. It's the very definition of dark fantasy. And a pretty good universe for something like this, especially within the context of "orc culture" which is of course the more brutal side of Middle Earth's lore.

You seem to be thinking of LotR as if it were "The Hobbit". They are very different. LotR is straight up dark fantasy.

You're right there, I actually skipped all of the songs and poems. :P I'm not a fan of that kind of stuff. What this game is doing though, it fine within the LotR universe. It's taking Weta's Lord of the Rings aesthetic that has practically defined modern dark fantasy, and adds some extra depth by taking content from Tolkien's original books. You shouldn't expect it to mimic Tolkien's vision, but rather expect it to be an amalgamation of what LotR has become (and not what it was, in the 20th century).

Lol those kinds of cd key third party sellers should be illegal, it's practically pirating. Does any of the money spent buying the keys actually go to the developer...? After the Sniper Elite 3 debacle I would say no.

The game really doesnt look anything special at all. Looks like a complete AC rip-off and even AC isnt that good to begin with...

I been buying from those sites for a long time and never had a problem one incident is not going to change that. The keys are mostly from retail copies that were bought using currency exchange from other countries. And obviously those stores they got the copies by ordering them from the developer which they have to pay.
