On the PC side Mordor also compares to the Batman games, in that it’s of good quality. There are even some enhanced graphics settings, including an ultra-high texture setting that requires a full 6GB of video memory. My only issue with it is some awkward menu controls, but most of those are customizable and those that aren’t aren’t too inconvenient to get used to.
Sadly, Lord Of The Rings is about hobbits gaining courage and going on whimsical adventures. This is Assasins Creed with monster men.

As someone with high moral values and a fan of series that promoted love and adventure, to see a cynical bastardization aimed at young people looking to inflict death for personal gratification, it is sadly a betrayal of everything MR Tolkien and his stories stood for.

Good News!!!! This isn't LoTRs:Shadow of Mordor. It's called Middle-Earth:Shadow of Mordor. It takes place in Middle-Earth but its not Lord of the Rings so you can stop worrying about your little hobbits saving the world.
The last open world game, Watch_Dogs got an 8 here and got good reviews too else where but I was disappointed with that game. After watching videos and browsing reviews, I think this is a better game and I will enjoy playing it more. I really like how brutal the combat can be and the Nemesis system is like a living chest match. I think the gameplay is there. I wish there was a demo but I think I'll get it.

This study is hardly conclusive. I see no mention of what they did in regards to f2p. I have a bunch of f2p games with mediocre at best meta scores in my library. Defiance, Loadout, Blacklight, Hawken, Ghost Recon Phantoms and Warframe to name a few. I only have these games in my library because they're free.
To measure purchase intent, those in the survey were asked to pick between $10 cash or a copy of Plants vs. Zombies. The group exposed to the high review scores were more than twice as likely to take a copy of the game over the money. The low review score guys? Over 80 percent of them took their ten bucks and ran.

In a game deprived reality you might make a little sense but how many times are you going to replay the same game when there's so many others to play?
Mordor looks good but only solid mp games and classic sp games are keepers.
$50 is possible, $40 is pretty much guaranteed. That's what just about any used game gets after a month.
The ultimate would be to wait for all the bug fixes. Buy it used for $40 to $50 and then sell it for $30-$40.
I never buy sp games at launch. I like my first playthrough to be as perfect as possible. Can't see buying a game that isn't completely finished.

Not even the lastest. The only two cards that have that much Vram is the special 780 and the titan black. Even the new 980 and 970 don't have 6gb or vram. 6gb of Vram would be something for the future a few years down the road. I just ordered 2 970's, which are only 4gb of vram. At the same time though, I feel the second lowest setting will almost be indistinguishable from this 6gb option.
