Wow! lol before I even hit play on that video I was thinking of posting "hmmm, I wonder if the game will have a Transformers reference like the first game..." , and boom The Touch plays as soon as I hit play.

Ok I'll walk myself out now, good luck with the game I hope it turns out well, first game is fun I've cleared the first few chapters but haven't finished it yet.

IGN review is up and they give it 8.6. its a great score but How come IGN gave Doom a 7? yet far inferior type of game in this category get much higher?

No. far from it. Doom is masterpiece and sum up how to make modern old school FPS.

Shadow warrior has weak shooting, slower paced and terrible terrible boss fights. Doom has one of the best boss fight in FPS games.

IGN said so: Shadow Warrior > DOOM

shadow warrior 2 has iron sights (not that i mind) and console style sprint. doom didnot have any of those.

Weird indeed if it's the same person who wrote the review for both games. Otherwise, the person who wrote the review for DOOM migh just have shit taste.

Gamespot gave the game an 8. Great that it turned out good. With Doom and this it might be the best year for FPS in years

The jokey dialogue delivered by an obnoxious cast can veer off into other vulgar topics, but it always comes back to a pun on the word "wang." IMO you should be at least 40 when reviewing games related to typical 80's action movies, or in general, having any form of credible opinion.

Great reception so far. Those awkward jokes were always part of Shadow Warrior. Doesn't bother me. Glad to know that gameplay is solid. Getting the game tomorrow.

and as I always say. SW2 looks really good and im getting it but come on. Doom set bar for FPS genre very high. last time a game did was Half life 2. so Doom 2016 is impossible to surpass anytime soon.

Doom is great but come on dude. It didn't set new standard for FPS games. It's just one well made FPS among several bad ones that came out in the last couple of years.

Doom is better than any FPS that release after Half life 2 (that including Crysis 1. im sorry but you have been surpassed finally when it come to gameplay) except STALKER (not a pure FPS).

So standard set by Half Life 2 is still higher?

Looks really good, I will get it when it comes out on console or when I finally get around to building a new PC. I doubt my current one would run it that well.

I noticed exactly that from the gameplay videos. It seems Trump wrote the dialog for this game. Way to ruin such a pretty game in such a lame form.

eh, honestly I found it kinda repetitive and didn't finish it. KF2 has more satisfying gunplay. Only thing it does really well is movement and that only takes it so far in light of the repetitive encounter design. 7/10 seems like a fair score.

I think SW2 has the potential to be better. Also, not sure how you can claim its not as good without having played it.

That main menu theme is pretty rad.

Metacritic score getting close to Gears 4-caliber status....should be amazing. Hehe just joking kind of, but it occurred to me that shooters with a ton of gore may not sit well with some reviewers out there. I wonder if there are any reviewers who might have been inclined to give it a lower score just because that aspect offends them. I know that some people are instantly turned off by this, so you never know these days what goes through a reviewers mind and their final review scores.

Probably yea. If your a fellow who grew up in the VHS era watching the likes of Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damm and to the lesser extent Chuck Norris and Charlie Bronson, this stuff will probably come off as endearing and instantly familiar.

The original game itself was inspired by Big Trouble In Little China and in this rebooted series (the original basically being a racist caricature) Lo Wang appears to be influenced by Jack Burton - a parody of the American action hero

The game looks amazing, this game is mostly for those that loved the first one, so the Wang jokes will be hilarious for anyone in that category, why get someone that is easily offended or impacted by such jokes to review the game? Everyone knows what Shadow Warrior is about.

I like SW and really looking forward to playing SW2 but Doom is one of the best FPS of decade.

SW2 even has console sprint and iron sight. Doom doesnot. thus more PC oriented game.
