Sheep, be honest, a year ago was this what you really wanted?

Last E3 you guys were happy cause you'd be playing a bunch of great games from Nintendo, as well as have quality third party back on your side.

A year later, and Nintendo's offerings for the ENTIRE YEAR are basically from last year, plus a digital Chuck Norris exercise mat.

Oh yeah and third parties are basically flooding the platform with PS2/ DS/ PSP ports and shovelware.

Meanwhile Sony and Microsoft are actually bringing out a slew of major hits AND brand new IPs. How come these companies are managing to do this, while Nintendo is sitting its pile of cash.

Yeah, there ARE a bunch of quirky titles in Japan, but do you really play those? Those titles have always been in Japan even during the time of the N64 and Gamecube.

I'm enjoying games like RE4 (hadn't played it before) and Super Paper Mario, among others. I expected to have fun and be entertained, and that's exactly what is happening.bluezy

And to answer your question, yes this seems to be what I wanted (which was to have fun)based on the lineup for this year plus the titles that are already out that I've played such as Sonic, The Godfather, Zelda, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Super Paper Mario, Wii Sports, Warioware, Mario Party 8, Mortal Kombat, Big Brain Academy, Prince of Persia, Trauma Center, Red Steel, and Excite Truck, not to mention VC.

To answer honestly...yes and no.

Yes - I wanted games that other consoles either wouldn't or couldn't do. While it bothers me that there are a bunch of mini-game collections out or on the way, I do love Brain Academy and have a blast with it. Why? because it is both fun for multi player but also a good game for when I only have 15 - 30 minutes to kill. Normally I'm an RPG or adventure gamer and don't like to start one of those games if I only have a short amount of time. Also, I loved how the controls worked with the new Zelda, Sonic (even though the game sucked), Super Paper Marioand of course, Trauma Centre.

No - When I first saw the wii controller I instantly saw the potential for all the ways it could be used. FPS, silent hill-like flashlight control, etc, etc,. However, developers don't seem to care about anything other than dumping a crap game for a quick buck. We're told to wait because every developer on earth is shifting more focuc to the Wii...but waiting sucks. Especially considering we don't have any idea what we are waiting for. If it turns out I'm waiting for more mini-games then I'm going to really start getting annoyed. And as you mentioned, I rolled my eyes at the WiiFit idea. I bought the Wii for the motion control possibilities...not because I was expecting the PowerPad to make a comeback. While the Wiimote has many possible uses, I can really only see one for the Wiifit mat and so I wonder what the point is. Peripherals with only one use typically get zero support beyond a couple token titles. Think of the bongos.

While I am happy with the Wii so far, I will admit that it will probably end up my secondary console within a year. IT has great potential, but we have to wait and see what happens before ultimately judging the system.

Lawl, I thought the PS3 was gonna to shoot up to first place. And Wii would be dead last. I thought by the end of the first year I'd end up with 4-5 game. But I guess I'm ending up with 15.

When people actually own a console and play the games, they are like me and you. If we enjoy a game, thats all that matters.

Unfortunately, system wars is full of a bunch of kids and teenagers who probably have never played a game in their life. Atleast thats how it seems because I find it amazing that Twilight Princess on Wii sucks because it didnt get 9.0 or higher.

I'm pretty dissapointed...I'm not a sheep as such, but I did plan on buying a Wii if it impressed me enough. It hasn't. Where are the new IP's nintendo? Project Hammer? ...oh wait. Heck the PS3 has Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Littlebigplanet, all new and all impressive but the Wii is just lacking. The E3 showing was...depressing. Wiifit was a total dissapointment and Mario Kart was predictable. The only things worth having in my eyes are the big three, maybe a few more, Zack and Wiki looks promising, but really...where's the amazing new game experiance nintendo? z_gaming_master

I still play single player Melee. From what Ive played its the most addictive game ever.
And I guess Brawl wont be any different.

I wonder if sheep realise that while playing the same 4 mascot games every couple years works for them, it doesn't work for everyone else.

If Mario and friends wasn't enough for gamers during the Gamecube Nintendrought, what makes thinks sheep think that once gamers realise the same is coming for the Wii that they will stand for it? What, will we play Wi Sports and Mario until 2012, hoping for a couple nice titles inbetween to tide them over?

For sheep, big titles other than Nintendo mascot games are major events. For cows, lemmings and even hermits, they are the norm. Nintendo promised different for the sheep a year ago, yet where is the progress? Wii Fit?
