There was a valid point to be madw with this thread but TC failed entirely to make it. The point is this;

AAA scores are just a rough ruler to measure a library buy but they are by no means meaningless. They do give at least a concensus outline of the quality of a Systems titles, in my experice AAA does tend to mean good quality. Also all the other 3 big systems have more overall AA games and A games than the Wii does. No i don't have links for that but im sure i can find them and im sure it is true.

AAA is by no means the only type of good game either but just using you brain you can think of MANY titles that are notable and that are great regardless that are AA/AAA. The Wii misses out on countless high quality games, that last gen would have shown up in multiplat status on the GC and are kept out by technical limitations.

Take the 360 for example;

Fallout 3

Oblivion

Street Fighter 4

BlazeBlue (can't wait for euro release, played JP import on friends PS3)

The Orange Box (Godlyness)

The Darkness

Bioshock

Soul calibur 4

GTA 4

GRID

PGR4

Dirt

Deadspace

Burnout Paradise.

L4D

Mass Effect

Gears of War

Halo 3

The list goes on and on and on.

The Wii lacks whole genres, Simulation Driving games, hell nearlly all driving games that are not whacky stlye. Just look at that list, GRID, Burnout;P, Dirt, PGR4 the best driving games this generation are nowhere near the Wii! FPS too, Metroid is arguable but what else is there? The Conduit :lol:

I know im sounding harsh but there is a truth here, Wii only owners are missing this generation.

i have had only a wii for a 2 years, and i was fine. i got a 360, and i am still fine without a ps3. anyway, r u okay on missing out the wii exclusives?

Wii is a gimmick...the worst 250 I ever spent. I only bought it to play with my GF at her house. Traded it in at gamestop for some SERIOUS store credit that went towards a PSPgo in full. Its a gimmick...its 250 for a GAMECUBE with cheap motion sensor. Those little shops in the mall that sell the 20 dollar "hook up straight to the TV" games have motion sensor...its nothing new. Half the games that would be really cool to utilize it, really suck at it (ie: Tiger woods).

the games are VERY simple...Zelda: twilight princess was HORRRIBLE...Did you see the character models outside of Link?!?! LOL...they were laughable!! No voice acting...cmon!! This is next gen!! The last time I buy a Nintendo HOME console...I still love my DS.

The PS3 has 80 AA.

The Wii has 40 AA.

I can waste my time and go count out A games for you too if you like. We can do this dance all day. Bottom line, you can get almost tripple the Wiis linupe for less than a wii, with much better graphics.
