Should I trade ps4 for an Xbox one?

If you own a PS4 and all your friends own an xbone it means you were smarter than them.

So now you're faced with 2 choices:

1. Trade your PS4 and downgrade to an xbone and join friends

2. Get smarter friends who play on the better system with more games that you already own.

Yes, by all means do it, everyone knows Xbox Won. :P

So you don't care about exclusives, play mostly sports games, all your friends own and play xbox one only....... so why do you need advice then?

I don't remember every time talk to the thousands of users I interact with every month both in RL and online, so you'll have to excuse me for what you thought I was avoiding, when I already told you I didn't read it or know what you were talking about as I'm used to dealing with off topic trolling and hardly give it a serious glance, lol. My opinion, @plynch41197, would be to take a high level approach to this decision. Evaluate your gaming habits. If I look at your original post, you write:

So you miss gaming with friends you know? That's a big positive to switching it up.

Controller comfort, in my opinion, doesn't matter all that much as you'll likely get used to whatever controller you're using.

If exclusives don't matter to you, then I think you're pretty much okay to exchange consoles for whatever reason you like as you won't miss out on anything.

You could always talk to your friends to see if any of them express interest in purchasing a PS4 anytime in the near future. If they are, you may be able to talk a few into jumping in soon so you have more people to play with now.

Otherwise, if you're wanting to game with your friends I think your decision is made.

As this is system wars my advice is... Ignore your real friends, and base your new friendships on how many pixels can their machines push. So trade the PS4 for a PC.

No, I would not trade. ALWAYS own both if you can afford it. You would hate to miss out on games available on either platform. If you can only afford one no matter what, then yes, Xbox One is what you should be playing. Better games, better online, better value, less expensive, quieter. And since all your friends went the Xbox One route, you should indeed join them.

Also in your rare case you should trade it in for an xbox one. But not until after E3 because who knows what will be announced...

Xbone has the better online multiplayer games in the shooter and racing categories. I don't know how Street Fighter 5 is at this point, but I can tell you Killer Instinct is a great fighting game.

If I were you I wouldn't want to trade the PS4 though. I don't have a PS4 now, but will likely get one down the road so I can play Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, and any other single player games I'm missing out on.

I gave my gold PS4 that we got from a Taco Bell contest to my sis because I game share with my bro on the Xbox One and have more friends playing games I like to play on the Xbox One. I got friends with PS4 with games like Madden and Call of Duties but I don't play these games, so there weren't any reasons to keep my gold PS4. You already answered your own question since you love playing games with your friends and playing with friends make game experiences better. So you getting an Xbox One will give you a better gaming experience than staying on your PS4. Seems like you would be a loner and lonely and play single player games if you stay on PS4. So it looks like you already made up your mind to ditch your lonely PS4 experience and plan to get a better social gaming experience on Xbox One, but I would wait for E3 to see if there are any new hardware updates and bundles and stuff.

you can use a playstation controller with an adapter called cronusmax on your x1. I have it and it works quite well.

The only way to compare the scores is Gamertags. There is no 3rd party solution that can't be manipulated.

Yeah, maybe I talk a big game sometimes, but I back my shiiii up. Yeah, someone dedicated to just getting Xbox gamerscore could whoop my ass at just Gamerscore because I'm distracted playing PC, Wii/Wii U, handhelds Playstation, retro gaming consoles (Xbox 1 OG, GC, Dreamcast, Genesis, SNES, NES, PS2, PS1, etc), other RL non-gaming endeavors, cinema, reading, etc. The Xbox superfans would just concentrate on Xbox Gamerscore, which is good news for you, as the Xbox is what you game on, the singular Xbox ecosystem with no distractions playing PS and Nintendo games. That said, my Xbox gamerscore is pretty good considering all my other gaming distractions.

I am reputable around here since 2005 with hundreds of GS friends, you are newer account (Feb 2015), so this has to be done right...and I didn't bring this up, you did, so the impetus falls on you to complete what you initiated.

I had reservations of putting up my gamertag, and thus allowing people to see my gamescore, because í put up with shit from people on a semi regular basis about the size of it, but if it shuts you the **** up i'm all for it.

Oh and if you did somehow have a bigger Gamerscore than me, I would say congrats because it takes a hell of a lot of work to get it to the size I have it at.

So in the end it's put up or shut up time ty, the balls in your court, let's see if you hit it out of the park.

BTW: Playing 360 is getting gamerscore too and I knew you had a 360 and played a lot due to your Forza conversations in the past. That's why I didn't bring up my various 360s I own as they contribute to my Xbone Gamerscore as well.

You shouldn't have brought it up, and on my end, I've dealt with hundreds of new accounts that come and go, so I'm siding with experience on this encounter based on getting burned in the past by other alts/noob accounts. You called out the wrong dude, in the wrong thread, with the wrong gamerscore (which attests how much Xbox gaming I do).

If you can't own both, then my vote would be yes. Personally, I prefer SP gaming and do my MP on PC so friends owning X1s would be mostly irrelevant to me. But given your gaming interests, both in terms of wanting MP and the types of games you care about, the X1 seems like a better fit for you
