Should MK have sexualized/skimpy females (costumes)?

Of course they aren't but they were the vast majority of western game developers over a decade ago; even with a more racially diverse ecosystem, you need women. More women have broken into game development in recent years which leads to evolved game design.

If you think about it, men's ideal woman body seeking behavior is based on woman's health and ultimately, for the possible baby.

"Should"? There is no obligation for the developers to have skimpy costumes for the female characters. Whether they want them in Mortal Kombat or not, is up to their vision of the series.

A woman in a bikini is not sexualized. Hell, I see many of them running around in bikinis all of the time in summer. So to me they are not that sexualized. I also find it funny that women freak out if you see them in their bra and panties when you were just at the pool with them like an hour ago and it is the same thing. Also, I see soo many girls too young to wear the apparel they wear in public all of the time. Most female clothes already objectify women in the 1st place. Mens attention to it is not the cause, but rather the effect. So I take objectification with a grain of salt.
