Should MS allow future Bethesda games on PS5?

It's up to them but I wouldn't blame them if they keep them off of PS5. Exclusivity for their platform will bring them more revenue. It also means they can focus on fewer hardware targets which should speed up development.

As much as I'm against those acquisitions what's the fucking point of buying those studios if you're going to keep releasing them on rival platforms?

MS is going to do what makes them money, so I'm guessing they'll have at least timed exclusivity on almost everything. In an ideal world? No, I wish all titles were available on every platform.

It would be nice. i think everyone in the industry knows the deal at this stage though. want MS games? gamepass subs must be allowed on the platform. allow that and MS will be more than happy to release the game on said platform (or stream it if the hardware itself can't make the cut).

Nope. Bethesda games being solely exclusive to Xbox was not mentioned in the OP. Exclusivity was mentioned. In this particular context the exclusivity means Xbox/PC.

For the record, I think exclusivity sucks. All Sony games should be shared with all applicable mediums. No double standards here.

But being on Xbox and PC de facto means it is not exclusive.

Exclusive to Xbox/PC is by definition a form of exclusivity, yeah. It is blocking out another outlet.

I'm glad you do, there's not much of an argument against first-party studios exclusives but exclusives through acquisitions IMO is ruining this industry on the consumers side.

Factually false. Xbox does not have exclusives. Have not have exclusives for over 2 years and will continue to not have exclusives. Games not being on PS5 does not make it exclusive. As stated before, Xbox games are available on four platforms, making your OP false.

Microsoft/Sony might spin this as some sort of exclusive (like when they say console exclusive, which doesn't mean much) but as soon as you have it on another platform it is by definition not an exclusive.

Examples of non-exclusives; Street Fighter 5, Halo Infinite, Zelda BoTW. Even if the last one is "Nintendo-exclusive", it is not truly exclusive (which isn't a bad thing) because you find it on another platform regardless of the owner of that platform.
