Should MS allow future Bethesda games on PS5?

Bethesda was a bad buy and they are not what they used to be, I have a feeling it will end like Bungie.MS should have bought smaller studios and invest tHat money in new ips. Xbox games are not exclusive at all anymore because of Gamepass which will be available on TV, PC, Phones and if someone is interested can play them on those devices since they are releasing all of their exclusive day one on Gamepass

From a long term business perspective, the answer would be no. But in all fairness, platform exclusives is not such a good thing.

So, in case anyone cares (lol), the thread I made after this one, asking if Sony should put Housemarque games on Xbox, was not a response thread to this....which would be hilarious because I'd be responding to my own thread.

I mean, the threads are legitimately asking questions, but also, I was just trying to test something out. I made a thread--this one--asking if MS should share their exclusives with Sony--no problem, thread is untouched.

I make a very similar thread, but in reverse, asking if Sony should share their games with MS---thread locked, almost immediately. Again, the second thread was not a response, it was simply the same kind of question, but asked about a different company.

Yeah Bethesda would have released on all platforms before the acquisition. These aren't small teams we're talking about. They have the resources to make a game and release it on all platforms.

Why does it matter in 2021 when all their games are in the design phase? This is a question we should be asking ourselves in 5-7 years from now.

Yeah, it would definitely be a mega ton. The reason I believe it probably will (at least at some point) though is because they said it would be on a case by case basis. That to me means they think they will probably have some multiplat stuff.. either that or they didn't want to say for sure yet either way. They have plenty of time to make the final decision though given the game is still in the drawing board stages though.

Same. PC. Part (a big part) of me wants to wait for a VR version, if there is one...but lol, who knows how long away that is. From the sound of it, the flatscreen version itself is years and years off.

These companies often contradict themselves, remember the whole "we believe in generations" thing? Microsoft will use whatever means to fit their narrative in the moment in order to build hype and sell their software. Even if they have to twist the definition of "exclusive".

PlayStation is getting the next Bethesda game, Deathloop, before Xbox. Ghostwire Tokyo is also expected to come out for PlayStation this year.

I still like older Playstation stuff, but right at the beginning of this gen I abandoned Sony the moment I got a good PC and a PCVR headset and realized in one fell swoop that PC absolutely DESTROYS the console experience. Lol, to be clear, if I haven't been already, the PS5 is complete garbage, and can't hold a candle compared to high-end PC gaming.

Truth is, I'm a herm these days. I don't particularly love that label, but it is what it is. I prefer to simply call myself a PC gamer. Or just a gamer. Like I said, I still love older Playstation stuff. Plus a bunch of Nintendo, Sega, etc. etc. But PC is my main. And it's gonna stay that way. I've seen the light, lol.

I sub to, play on whatever device you want. The best place to play games is the platform of your choosing. 😊

I hear you. Some days I game on a NES mini, lol. It's great if you have little ones. Other days I fire up the old PS3, or 2 or 1. Occasionally I buy older consoles off ebay or at antique stores and whatnot.

Why would they ? At this point they are part of ms 1st party. This talk has to stop they made it clear at E3.

MS bought bethesda but who knows if it was even worth it. $8 billion but bethesda doesn't even make $100 million, no even $50 million would be a stretch in a given year. Its a typical over rated and over valued tech company, just like whatsapp and all the other tech companies that were purchased for billions but making pennies in revenue. If this were another industry, theres no way in hell bethesda sale would crack even the $1 billion mark.

I created two threads. The other one asked the question "should Sony allow Housemarque games to be on Xbox". Surprise, surprise--you completely ignored this fact. For some freaking reason the mods found it necessary to lock the other thread, on b.s. grounds that I was doing a response thread--to my own freaking thread. This, to me, really illustrates the odd bias towards Sony on this forum.

Bias, is this forum. Generally the order of operation is Nintendo, Sony, PC ,MS then everything else. It fluctuates depending on the topic.

I couldn't careless as I'll be playing any Bethesda games on my PC. This is a console only gamer's problem.
