Should MS allow future Bethesda games on PS5?

You stated exclusivity twice in the OP with regards to Bethesda games. 😂 You flubbed.

I'd like to see the new Indiana Jones on PS5 given that it was announced before the acquisition but I'm a realist. I have a 99% expectation that it will not be on PS5 and that I'll wait about 10 years or so to play it eventually on PC.

No other games from the Bethesda acquisition concern me in the slightest as their library wasn't my cup of tea to begin with.

If you please, point to where in the OP Bethesda games being solely exclusive to Xbox was stated.

Anyway I’m totally fine with games being available on all systems when possible. Gives me and others to simply play them on our system of choice. 🤷‍♂️

Again, why would I care about Sony acquisitions? I game 100% on PC these days. I don't even own a PS5. Nor do I plan on getting one in the near future, if ever. I would rather all Sony games come to PC.

MS games already aren't exclusive. They would more than likely even put them on PS if Sony allowed GP on it.

If they do they do, if they don't they don't. This notion that Bethesda is the whole kitchen sink is getting old. Bethesda hasn't had a 10 million seller (across multiple platforms since Fallout 4) PS gamers will be fine as there's plenty of games not coming to Series X or Gamepass. We can stop pretending MS has caught up with Sony in terms of games, they were worlds apart and MS is the ones that have to prove themselves, not the other way around. @wandering_halls: It's just platform exclusivity. They also have made it clear they're willing to share their platform with anyone willing to do business, Sony clearly doesn't want to so they don't get access to the games.

I'm going to be 100% honest here. I absolutely couldn't care less.

Can I still play all Bethesda games day one on Game Pass? People being able to play those games elsewhere has zero impact on me.

You just posted me saying that exclusivity can mean many things these days, because it is true that MS/Sony have spun the definition to include multiple mediums. Which is why I said "true enough about MS/Sony". Naturally.

Your question is clear, should they allow their games on Playstation. MS is clearly open to it, they have already done business with Nintendo and Gaben recently, Sony doesn't want to do business. Sounds to me like it's Sony's reluctance to do a deal that is causing Playstation gamers to not have access to future Bethesda titles.

Why would Microsoft buy a studio to put games on the PS5 and Switch? They bought the studio for a reason, which is likely exclusivity to their ecosystem (Xbox, PC, and maybe mobile in the future). They might throw a few bones at the other consoles if it makes sense for them, but they'll have exclusives for the most part.

MS might well be open to it, and Sony might well not be. Either is entirely possible, probably even likely. My point is, it's weird that MS is so open to it, yet at the same time they don't miss the chance to advertise their games as "exclusive". I mean, why tout exclusivity as a positive when you're at the same time apparently against exclusivity? Phil Spencer specifically said exclusivity goes against their vision, and yet MS advertises....exclusivity for their games, lol. It doesn't make sense.

That's all semantics that are irrelevant to the question you posed in your OP. If Sony wants Bethesda games they are right there waiting, Jimmy R just needs give the ok. If you want to have a discussion about MS's alleged hypocrisy regarding exclusivity then you should have made that post instead.

I wasn't talking about the latter part of the sentence, which is why I isolated the MS/Sony part....obviously.

Again, this just supports what I was saying. Exclusivity has been expanded due to efforts by MS/Sony marketing. You may not agree with it, but the point remains. MS/Sony define exclusivity as multiple mediums.

Lol, I don't have a PS5. I haven't used my PS4 for anything but netflix in a year, probably. Nothing about Sony except for maybe Demon's Souls even really interests me this gen. I might well never get a PS5. PC crushes Sony, which is why I've abandoned them almost completely.

Now, again, why would I care about Sony acquisitions, other than if some good games come along, I hope they get put on PC?

These companies can define exclusive to fit their agenda but if the game is available on more than one platform it is no longer exclusives. If we are to go by these same companies marketing bullshit, we should be gaming at 4K 60fps with no loading for any game. 😉
