Should Sony Become Third-Party?

I agree.  After the trainwreck that was the Ps3 and the plethora of lackluster and unimaginative first party games that failed to sell well at all, which led to the closure of many studios, Sony needs to jump out of the hardware biz and leave it to Nintendo and Microsoft.  Sony needs to recognize that they are not big players anymore, and leave the console business to the big dogs.  Also, lol Vita.

Microsoft should become third party.

Neither Sony or Nintendo should go third party.

I seriously question people who thinks that gaming as a whole would benefit from one of the big 3 going third party. Also, I would rather not have other systems tainted by Sony's blight.

So, based on your logic that PS3 should become third party because PS3 didn't sold as much as PS2 (but still more than 360), then Microsoft should become third party after they failed with Xbox and Nintendo should become third party after they failed with Gamecube too, and seeing how they make a comeback after, I really looking forward to PS4

Yes, While we're at it we should make all games 3rd Party. That way there will be nothing to differ the many consoles in the market as we might as well have just PCs.
