You all gotta remember that Activision is at the end only a publisher. They're doing what they're supposed to be doing at the end. Sure, their methods on making the money are pretty unacceptable to gamers, but they're making the money at the end.mo0ksi

Signs. They have turned COD into a shame compared to the first two games. They are milking all their best franchises, and represent how to not run a gaming company.

I hate them because they are greedy. Now I understand that companies want to make money, that is perfectly normal. The problem is that Activision are exploiting gamers and pretty much outright insulting their intelligence. GH extreme milkage, CoD:MW2 pricing game, lack of respect; they threaten Sony about the PS3's pricing only to later say they wish they could raise the price of games to ridiculous amounts, all while generating tons of profit.

activision makes fine games plenty of people enjoy. why all yall have to keep guzzling that haterade about things like 'guitar hero being too mainstream' is some serious lol material. news flash; guitar hero was NEVER 'underground'. my momma was playing guitar hero before half of the people on this board had probably played it, saw cooler people playing it, and decided they hate it.

yeah the 'new game every year per franchise' thing is kinda odd, but give the people what they want, right? obviously crap like madworld, pathologic and psychonauts are not what most people want. they're only doing what makes sense.

Maybe they don't want to dig in to find out what those games are like. Or maybe they only listen to marketing. Sales =/= quality, sales=/= what people want >.>

The games aren't even half bad, it's the ideas behind them. We can take the long dreadful road leading to activisions decline because they are not understanding the industry nor valueing the customers at all, taking a few good developers like double fine with them. Or we could make this as short and painless as possible by not buying into activisions plans.

You don't just pay for the games. You pay them for the games...

From now on, i'll only get Activision games if they are really good, or, in the case of CoD or GH, if i get them preowned

Anyway, *signs* I don't see why COD is so important and those dum devs want to make UK games cost £55, or possibly more. I think they are going to do that with MW2, and they are still selling cod4 £40, and it's nearly 2 years old.

I don't *hate* activision, honestly if it wasn't for COD i actually would kind of like them. Hell even with COD, if they just released a game once every two years rather than every year i'd be okay with them. I think if they took some risks with the game it would be kind of nice (strike force missions were a good start imo).

I don't hate them... they really havn't done nothing wrong.

The only bad thing i can say is they sell as many companys then 99% of games dream of in a week.  They can litlerly put in more content into the cod and still make a profit. EASY but, they put in has much work as any other game

the other crap i hear on these forums about cod hate is a complete joke...
