Simple reason why Killzone 2 won best Multiplayer

lol @ Killzone 2 Multiplayer. I can't believe I bought this game at midnight, after the single player was done, it was over.

Personally, I prefer COD because of it's ranking system, it's much better. However, KZ2 is a great multiplayer game, and I can see why it won.

They really arent much of a hassle especially if you just dodge the missiles and headshot them. They are only even a slightest annoyance in small maps. In large maps they are nearly useless.

yup i never join any game with RPGS, its killls the whole match. Noobs spawning, shooting dieng, suicidingl.

no matter what anyone says, this ruins games UNLEss its on that huge sniper map.

Game was really fun and very well balanced. People complaining about rocket spamming, spawn killing, and random grenade spamming need to stop playing 32 games and start playing 16 and under. I personally prefer 5vs5 which was really fun and required some teamwork to win.

for no reason actually, its multiplayer is mediocre compared to the games it ripped its multiplayer aspects off of.

I've played it and its not worth much not when there are far better offerings out there.

i agree, KZ2 is one of the best shooters i have played. its only drawback is the online ranking/leveling up, they should have followed the COD mold. that is the one thing COD does right is online ranking/leveling up.InfiniteBlak

Well it has insane lag... It could be alot of fun when it ran fine but me and my friends played it for a few months and literally half of the matches where just a lag mess. The game would freeze we would all start jumping all over the maps uncontrollably. Its a shame because it would have been really awesome but even in the matches that worked there was still a second or two of bullet lag.

Well... Killzone 2 beat out Halo3 + Modern Warfare 2 and other online FPS games so...

Killzone 2 multiplayer is one of my favourites. one of the few multiplayers where I've put more than 50 hours in.

People seem to be forgetting that K2 mp is a complete rip off of TF2.

When Gears of War 2 first launched, it took about 10 to 20 minutes to join a game, and when you did it was laggy as hell thanks to a poor host selection system, and people were glitching like crazy.

KZ2 deserved the award:

- excellent map designs

- mulitplayer graphics practically identical to single player graphics

- totally balanced classes and weapons

- Good match making system

- great game modes that are implemented into a system of rotation within a single match.

- character class perks are interesting without losing balance, and can be swapped around to create a custom class.

Well maybe not a complete rip-off so to speak. But it certainly has a LOT of similarities in terms of the character roles and how they are used.

As much as I loved Killzone 2's multiplayer component, pretty much nothing compares to MW2's online as far as console games go.

Well maybe not a complete rip-off so to speak. But it certainly has a LOT of similarities in terms of the character roles and how they are used.

Only similar clases are Engineers, and Saboteurs. TF2 does not have a Tactician, KZ2's Sniper/Medic/"Demo Man" play COMPLETELY different, and the addition to secondary abilities makes Killzone 2 it's own game apart from Team Fortress 2 (no matter how much you want to think so).

The only real argue-able thing I can think of comparing the two, is that they are both multiplayer FPS's that use a clas based system to influence teamwork. That's it.

I completely support KZ2 winning best multiplayer. For me, its been the one of themost enjoyable online experiences of any shooter this gen.

With a max limit of 32 players per game, 500 people is plenty. I'd rather have a small, tight-knit fanbase to an amazing multiplayer game, than a large, n00b/jerk infested fanbase behind a broken game.

I was addicted to Killzone 2 multiplayer and now i am addicted to MW2 multiplayer, they are both very similar it is just a preference, future or realistic. I personally liked the futuristic style of Killzone 2 and the graphics were great.

Im switching over to PS3 come Feb 2010 and cant wait to play KZ2 and it better be a LOT LOT better than KZ1 or im coming for you!!..:)

I want Killzone 2 but haven't gotten it yet.
