I mean, I get what you're saying and that's true. The Switch is having one HELL of a good first year. It's First Year absolutely DESTROYS anything Nintendo has put out in the past 3 systems they've released.

However to say it's yet another Wii U, in my opinion, is not too far off the mark.

Just look at the Game Library of both, they're pretty Identical. Just the Switch isn't getting any droughts like the Wii U was cause Nintendo is smart in their release schedule.

Also the Switch is selling WAY more then the Wii U ever was thanks to smart Marketing Practices. But looking at the Libraries of both, the Switch and Wii U are pretty similar.

@KBFloYd: I haven't. I also haven't purchased a Switch controller either - I think the Joy Cons are pretty great. Just holding them split apart is surprisingly comfy, and I also think the clip-in dohicky is fine. I had very low expectations for its comfort after all the bitching on here, but when I got mine I was surprised at what a great job it does turning the Joycons into a single controller. Part of this may be my tiny hands... same reason I prefer PS controllers over XBox ones, perhaps - just fit me fine/better.

nah brah.... bloodborne is a japanese game with a medium budget.... he considers it a major playstation release

splatoon is also a medium budget release...just happens to be japanese as well.....yet 1 is a major release and the other is insignificant. you see what i mean?

switch is both a console and handheld.....

i actually bought 2...another pair of joycons...and a pro controller..... so i have 3 sets of controls. some games i prefer with the pro...some with the joycon grip....and some i actually prefer with a single joycon on its side.

Switch to Wii U game library maybe similar, but that's because those Wii U game sales could do better on a more successful product than a dead product. Wii U is Nintendo's worst selling console since Virtual Boy.

of course the switch is similar to the wiiU...it is a nintendo console.....

what is the difference of the ps3 games to the ps4 games? nothing right? just the hardware....

Telling this before Switch even get a release that i dont care if a Nintendo product sells as much as 20M like Gamecube did or 120M like Wii did. All i want to see are games thru the entire generation of Nintendo systems. Not for a year or two or three. Till the very end. So total sales of hardware at this point or if Switch selling far better than Wii U doesnt matter imo.

The bet im talking for a while now is if finally Nintendo support their console till the very end with great 1st.

there are not many medium budget games....... there are even less AAA budget games....a ton of low budget ones though

bloodborne is medium budget and so is splatoon.

Got mine a week ago or so and loving it so fare, first Nintendo console I ever owned but damm I am impressed so fare... sunk a good 10 hours into mario vs rabbids( or whatever it's called) and had a lot of fun! But the star is no surprise Zelda, played it for a good 20-25 hours so fare and am so impressed! Imo the best game since the witcher 3 imo! Bethesda should definitely take note from Zelda on how to make a truly open world game right!!

No idea, hoping Nintendo makes that paid online worth it by giving a good selection of NES and SNES games with added online play/leaderboards.

This. My Ps4 Pro JUST became worth the price for me thanks to Final Fantasy Zodiac Age, and Horizon. Before that it was just my Dragon Quest Builders/Ratchet and Clank box! The Switch is doing better than that for me in just a few months. (Still have Person 5 on my table unopened, so the jury is out on that one.)

Yet people forget that Nintendo the last 3 generations letting their consoles go into life support way earlier than they should and focusing on next generation way earlier than everyone else so they can have such strong start.

For example if Sony would had done the very same thing Nintendo did with Wii U ( letting it die , delay major game for 2 years or having it in serious life support ) would had Gran Turismo 6 , Last of Us , Journey , Ni No kuni , Beyond 2 souls ,Rain and many more exclusive games as Ps4 games day 1 . Sony didnt let down though all those PS3 owners by letting them play ... nothing for years to make PS4 look awesome. They could do that though.

their handhelds don't go on life support. the switch might not either because it is half handheld.

360 was also on life support its last year or two before the one came out. 1st party wise i mean

it seems it is only sony keeps supporting until the next console releases. well except for their handhelds which they leave out to die.

To be fair most of the good game are ports from the Wii U

My struggle is that I don't care for the mobile aspect because that doesn't appeal to me (I see why it does to some) Its basically a slightly more powerful Wii U. Awesome first party and dumbed down 3rd party ports from consoles I already own and can play the better version

yea... if you dont take your console to another room or under your covers or oustide or something. then one of the switches biggest strengths is gone....

but, i think it will get tons more games than wiiU in the long run. so after a year or two with a lot more games it will definitely beat the wiiU but will it beat your ps4/x1 well, that will depend on taste because overall those systems might have more games in the end. we'll see.

Seriously. I look at the switch list and see nothing I would want or I couldn't play on my PS3/PS4.

Because i would say the same for any other company that offers the very same franchises over and over. Only Nintendo does that. Yes i know their games feel and play different with Mario being a fine example that really expands the platforming and excels everytime but you cant say that for all of their franchises.

Beleive me or not i dont care. I know you agree with me you just dont want to admit it. You, as any other sheep, would love for Nintendo to provide a new AAA IP or two every now and then and specially if it was to choose over a new AAA IP vs a port of a game youve already finished 10 times and its 20 years old.
