so in your theory, Microsoft is not milking its fans right? since All they're giving xbox fans is a choice. jiggawho2006I've never personally typed any negativity towards the new version of the 360. I don't think Microsoft is milking fans at all. Options are always good for fans. Though, it does suck knowing that your current 360 model has been replaced. I own a 360 and I'm kind of upset that I did not wait for the new version w/hdmi and the larger hard drive.

No confirmation in that entire article. I'm not seeing any quotes from Barlog where he said anything about rumble at all. Still just wild speculation and day dreaming.Ooooh yes indeed! Wonder how it will compare with the Wii/360 controller now...

But they said motion control + rumble was technically impossible - i do not know what to believe now ...Final-DarknessIt may still be, although that sounds really stupid. I'm betting that they don't release a new rumble controller at all. Considering the short battery life of the current Sixaxis, adding rumble would be devistating to it. If anything they need to add a swapable battery pack like the 360 has. I hate having to plug in my Sixaxis mid game with the stupid short cable they provided. Swapable batteries are a pretty basic concept that they seem to have totally ignored for whatever reason.

I seriously doubt Sony settled their lawsuit with Immersion and even made a cooperative agreement with Immersion regarding the use of its advanced vibration technology for no reason...

Great, so they'll use less visual effects to make it run in 1080P.
Just make it in 720P with more visula effect or higher frame rate.
1080P is just a waste if you ask me.

That is a pretty canned PR statement after a somewhat publich lawsuit. Of course he would say something like that. Even so, he does NOT say anything about what Playstation product. People are "assuming" it would be the Sixaxis. It may very well by a new DDR vibrating dance pad, or a "Let the PS3 cook your burger" vibrating spatula or something (sorry for the grill joke, it's my first). Most LIKELY, it'd be just a new vibrating driving wheel.....Not sure if you saw my post above, Bgrngod.

So, in Sony's theory, PS3 became "the last gen"....Since the rumble is last gen. It all makes sense now. No wonder games look better on xbox 360 than ps3. jiggawho2006You could also say that with Microsoft, after all didn't they say 1080p and HDMI were not needed yet 1080p has been included and HDMI is rumoured.

Hardly foolish to not assume what hasn't been said. It's a little something called momentum. The PS1 Dual Shock had rumble. The PS2 has rumble. Because of the lawsuit, the PS3 currently doesn't have it, so they're losing momentum because gamers are used to rumble. They need to put it back in in order to regain that lost momentum.

Let's see how many folks agree with your logic.
