Did Barlog just confirm that God of War 3 will be in 1080p with Sixaxis and VIBRATION functions on PS3? He sure did! Whoa! Well, technically he didn't confirm GOW3, but he confirmed Sixaxis and vibration for the future of God of War.

Here's some more important info regarding rumble and Sony. A little old but a nice add to this thread.

Dave Karakker, Sr. Director of Corporate Communications for Sony Computer Entertainment America told 1UP the following regarding the reunification of Sony and Immersion: "We are very pleased to have reached a cooperative agreement with Immersion regarding the use of its advanced vibration technology (haptics technology). We look forward to working closely with them as we explore new and innovative ways to utilize this technology in PlayStation products."

I am primarily a Nintendo fan, tsk tsk... such presuppositions will not get you far in life. Although if I were to support the 360 I would say that its controller is much more ergonomic and functional, notably the analogue placement.

Remember when Sony said this?/thread
"Pursuant to the introduction of this new six-axis sensing system, the vibration
feature that is currently available on DUALSHOCK® and DUALSHOCK®2 controllers for
PlayStation and PlayStation®2, will be removed from the new PS3 controller as vibration
itself interferes with information detected by the sensor."

lol, any one who believed that BS is living in a dream world. It was always about their legal battle over patent rights with Immersion, they just made up the above statement to pull the wool over the eyes of loyal Play station consumers.

Not mad at all, but when there is such liberal use of exclamation marks in the title it constitutes to a celebratory mood in my eyes, when in reality it should be a bashful murmur that Sony have admitted, despite tenacious denial, that rumble is indeed integral and necessary for the gaming experience.

It's not that Sony fans are excited about rumble. We're excited over the fact that Sony will combine motion sensing and next-gen rumble. It would not be a big deal if we got a controller with only rumble and no motion sensing capabilities.I'm sure Phil Harrison made that statement. He does not speak for every PS3 owner, developer and other folks @ Sony. Could have just been his personal opinion ya know? DaddyDC650

A tactical nuclear warhead is released everytime you hit a wall in Motostorm perhaps?
So once again Sony admits they were doing all wrong, screwing early PS3 adopters in the process.Wintry_FlutistScrewing early PS3 adopters out of a controller is nowhere near as bad as screwing them out of HDMI and, 1080p when you look at the price tags on each.

I know the Wii remote has both motion sensing and rumble features. I just dont like the layout of the controller for the type of games I play. The SIXAXIS has Sony's classic layout with both rumble and motion sensing. Best of both worlds fo rme. Btw, next-gen motion sensing is obviously more advanced that what the 360 and Wii offer. Look it up. You'll find the details in no time.[QUOTE="elementz28"][QUOTE="Caviglia"]Wow, celebrating something that has been standard since the mid-nineties...:lol:Caviglia

People don't realize Sony was in the middle of a lawsuit settlement all along, you have to understand that, we may never know the full details but at least people can be happy...they finally get that damn rumble..lolMattBrianThats true, I'm not saying that they shouldnt put rumble. I'm glad that they're putting some sort of rumble... or "next gen" rumble since I will get a PS3 when DMC4/MGS4 come out. But its just interesting to point out that they said rumble wasnt needed.

I never said that Sony wouldn't eventually release a "vibrating racing wheel". I just wanted to bring up the fact that it'd be foolish to think that Sony won't release a SIXAXIS rumble controller. I guess we just have to agree to disagree, because I think it is foolish to assume that they WILL release a rumble Sixaxis. This has nothing to do with whether or not I hope they do. You're just being stubborn and fail to realize the fact that Sony WILL release a controller with rumble. It's cool though. We forgive you! Btw, why don't you create a thread stating your belief that Sony might NOT release a SIXAXIS controller with rumble and instead came to a multi-million dollar agreement with Immersion so they could one day release "vibrating steering wheels and vibrating dance pads." Let's see how many folks agree with your logic. All I am saying is that the Sixaxis is hardly CONFIRMED!! (like the title of your thread says it is), nor is it a "Fact" that Sony will release a rumble Sixaxis. It's all still just speculation at this point.

Last time I checked, the S controller didn't have any additional features that weren't present in the original...What about the fact that you could actually hold the S-controller.
Well, you must have very small hands then because I had no problem holding the original Xbox controller when I got it at 14. Now I'm 19 and it's still very comfortable in my hands. Comfortable enough for me to call it the most comfortable controller of the three first party controllers last gen.
To date I have three controllers for my Xbox. Two Dukes and one thrid party Mad Catz controller which I never use becasue I prefer the Duke.
