So BioShock is going to outsell MP3.. Will MP3 even sell a Million copies?

Bioshock is not all that popular either. I doubt Bioshock will be a million seller in the USA alone, it will need Europe as well to do it. Metroid will outsell Bioshock in the end though. Btw lemmings, I though sales don't matter :P

They only matter to the 360 fanboys when the sales are in their advantage. Otherwise, all other sales data don't matter.

How someone can claim the lame ass character of Samus (a comic book type sci-fi heo whos face you never see, doest talk, and lives in a world with a clear divide of light and dark..... i.e. you blow up inhuman things) is better then bioshock. Its a great game but you dont have a bone in your body that ever respects good and original story telling in video games.

Go watch the ending to MP3, since it appears you will never actually play it, and then sasy its a world with a clear divide of light and dark... well actually read up on the story of the game, then watch the ending, since it won't make sense otherwise.

No, Nintendo has a time machine. They saw Halo coming, so they went back to 1986 and made metriod... Now why they didn't simply use their time machine tech to make a more powerful game, i don't know, but they didn't.

Anyone who played both the Metroid series and Halo series knows aside from being futuristic games with a gun, these series are nothing alike in terms of gameplay and structure.

EDIT: Also, Bioshock is PC + 360, AND MP3 is only out in the US. So obviously Bioshock will have higher sales.

He's only counting the 360 version. If you add in PC sales and steam sales/DD sales, it's not even close.

It proves that "gamers" arent buying the Wii as a primary console. I dont take mine that seriously... plenty of 40 somethings just buying for the novelty of wii sports that will never consider playing a real franchise like metroid. Thats pretty much fact.

umm.. yes metroid was a action platformer...not a first person shooter. Metroid prime has nothing to do with the original metroid games besides theme... its like saying halo wars is the next halo.. its a completely different genre of game and metroid prime, going the route of a FPS or FPA is filling a void on the console.

And while Metroid 3 gets a lot of hype on gaming forums, the game has never really hit it big with the mainstream. Also, Metroid Prime 3 didn't have the massive advertising campaign that Bioshock had. Bioshock ads were runnning on primetime TV.

Finally, new and original games like Bioshock tend to have a bigger impact on the mainstream than the 10th game in a series.

VGchartz sept 15nth weekly sales is out..look at that huuuuge drop off by MP3.. the BioShock managed to sell 120k copies in it's 3rd week while MP3 has sold 70k..
