It's a great game, though I think it's a game you beat once,be really impressedat it's visuals, and then put it on the shelf not to be played again for a long time. Unless you play the multiplayer, which I didn't. I'm not a fan of PSN personally.
yes i remember killzone 2 as one of the most boring game ive played. I actually played it this morning for 4 hours. before you say anything i only played it because i wanted to get some more trophies from it. Not because i like the game. It was a chore all the way through. i have yet to finish it but i dont think i can be bothered to. SO i dont have to deal with the suffering pain of boredom.
I really don't understand all the hate towards Kz2. It had many great things going for it.
Smart AI.
Great MP maps (best I have seen and played this gen).
Spawn grenades.
Warzone (switching from one game mode to the other streamlessly was awesome) Also great objective gameplay.
Reload while you run FTW. (Also you can actually run a good distance)

yerp!!! The only game that I have ever played that was this intense was Uncharted 2.
But you enjoy someone snapping the scope at 20 yards and dropping you before you even notice they are there huh? Or better yet you enjoy getting shot in the toe from a fully automatic pistol from 75 yards and dieing huh? Oh yea in KZ2 you can drop up to 3 guys with one clip if you know what your doing. Minus the assult class :). Isn't it funny you used 20 rounds and complain about it, while the other guy turns and kills you with a burst. Its called playing and practicing to be good at a game, geez. You can't just put a game in and expect to be good, you have to play it to be good. Unless once again your still stuck in the cod world of noob gameplay.Yeah...I remember shooting people with 20 bullets in the back, them not dying, then they killed me and I have not touched the game since.

Stop trying to pass on the idea that people can 'forget' games just by not playing them...
I know TC is not doing it, but these statements which came from the lemmings originally are really annoying.
We can never forget, because the cows bring it up about 25 times a day. After a few weeks, I just went back to Killzone 2 and I am really recognizing how amazing/intense the MP really is.And I still prefer this game over the new MW2. I am really getting a grasp on how unique Killzone 2 really is. I guess that's why I like this game more than any other FPS war games that I have ever played.

[QUOTE="67gt500"]Killzone 2 is the real deal... I hope the community stays strong...igHendrixHave you been to the Killzone Community Site lately? It's strong. Also, I'm getting back into Killzone 2 though I was thinking of selling it. Recently, I finally realized that I needed to buy a game that was stylized, and I needed to lose my gaming addiction. Only play games for simple entertainment. Uncharted 2, Midnight Club, and Ratchet provided me w/such experience, but Killzone 2 is sort of, I'm still getting used to it. Hopefully I'll meet up w/some unique people to play with.
Yeah I love it when lemmings try to downplay the community as if its a ghost town.
K2 community is very strong, and the thing with them is that they are a hardcore bunch like the Socom community.
How could you forget it. Anyone who denies KZ2's intense. unique way of emphazising war is out of touch. the physics in KZ2 alone are enough to show how unique it is. i cant think of another FPS with recoil like KZ2 (that forces alot more skill and challange to the player) i dont know about you but. when i get a kill in kz2's mutliplay, there is more satifaction as if i really acquired skill. while in other FPS's kills are just another part of the game *cough* mw2 *cough* KZ2 for me is the greatest FPS this gen the multiplayer is just right and does not get the credit it diserves. Its almost as if it gets bashed for being challanging, while other games get priased for being extremely easy *cough* mw2... this generation is the generation of noobsHardQoreGamerThat was the best first post for a person that I have ever seen on gamespot. Congrats.
Well since your name is Dead Memories, I wouldve expected a comment like that. We're going way off topic here, man, Dead Memories was just the name of a song I really liked when I created the account, what you imply is questionable; now as for the game, it doesn't hold a candle to most FPS out there, it's really just going to be remembered for benchmark graphics for consoles, just an opinion.[QUOTE="MJ4040"][QUOTE="Dead-Memories"] If I had ever purchased the game, I would probably find myself playing it, but overall, it becomes a distant memory. Really nothing memorable about anything of it. Dead-Memories
YOur crusade to repel the non-believers is notworthy, but laughable at best.
:| Except for the fact that there seems to be more 'believers' in this thread, than 'non-believers'. And Killzone 2 doesn't hold a candle to most FPS out??? Lol, THAT'S laughable... most FPS are rated b/e a 70-80, Killzone 2 is rated 91 on Metacritic. If it was all gfx and no gameplay, it wouldn't be so critically well received. Don't be a hater.
I'm actually playing it now, I had just got off of R2 when it came out and was kinda tired of shooters, but now I'm back.
I never really gave it a chance.. Played a few hour of sp and never went back. Wether that means it's not that great or I was just preoccupied, IDK.
You know I've had a discussion at work about KZ2. And the fun aspect came up about it. And you know I'm really tired of hearing about KZ2 not being fun lol. Me and by bud both play socom also, and I stated that most joe blows don't find Socom fun. But once you get into KZ2 and see that its more than just quick kills and actuall team play you'll say whoop there it is lol.
And the other poster is correct, it does get trashed for being challenging. Or people just get to over whelmed by its intense gameplay. I think most people just went on and did quick matches and ended up in the 32 player rooms, while the actuall team play blossoms in the 8vs 8 up to 12 vs 12 rooms. Once any higher than that your in the kill feast rooms where people just want an wild experience.
Man I do love having a good fire fight experience, something that you WILL not have in mw2. My one buds 10 year old girl is now a level 45 in mw2 on the 360 while on KZ2 I know she wouldn't be keeping pace with either me or her dad well scratch that her dad played KZ2 for 5 hours and said he dies to much lol.
P.S. I just wish they would have gotten the game out before cod4, that way more people wouldn't have been so noobified. Heck in the socom beta there was guys complaining in it that it wasn't like cod4 lol.
[QUOTE="Kandlegoat"]It tried to be, but ..... God bless it :wink:Never heard of Killzone 2..is it like Halo?
Nidget
hardly it is the polar opposite of halo tbh.
its a good game but with the amount of FPS's its what you could say forgettable.
KZ2 was an amazing game i must addmit i enjoyed playing it for the first 2 months then more games came out and i just couldnt find the time to play it so i stopped tho still its 1 great game
I still play it whenever I get a free space in my gaming calendar. I was playing a lot of multiplayer last week and boy did I forget how good the multiplayer is. It requires teamwork, skill, and has an excellent class system. The maps are excellently designed and warzone is fun bc it always makes you change gears. It's a very team oriented and challenging game thus why a lot of players get turned off by it; they are used to flashy arcade shooters like mw. I think it's my 2nd favorite mp game this generation behind Warhawk. Does anyone remember how awesome that game is?
I always found KZ2's multiplayer to be quite laggy. Most of the time headshots take a second to register, and people only take more hits because of the lag. Like if you burst them and then stop shooting while they're still alive, they drop a second later from your hits. It's pretty bad and I found that very consistent across all the games I played. Don't have any issue like that for MW2, so I'm happy. I probably won't play KZ2 again.
