After a few weeks, I just went back to Killzone 2 and I am really recognizing how amazing/intense the MP really is.And I still prefer this game over the new MW2. I am really getting a grasp on how unique Killzone 2 really is. I guess that's why I like this game more than any other FPS war games that I have ever played.

I always found KZ2's multiplayer to be quite laggy. Most of the time headshots take a second to register, and people only take more hits because of the lag. Like if you burst them and then stop shooting while they're still alive, they drop a second later from your hits. It's pretty bad and I found that very consistent across all the games I played. Don't have any issue like that for MW2, so I'm happy. I probably won't play KZ2 again.

They patched that up like 5 months ago.

Well.. I only bought the game a couple months ago. September, I think.

[QUOTE="Toriko42"][QUOTE="SilverChimera"][QUOTE="Toriko42"]KZ2 is boring...The online is pretty good but the single player is forgettable 7.5 - 8.0 max

lol weren't you then one who said it would score 6.5 or you'll take a picture of yourself nude or something? /credibility

I said it would score a AA or I would take a picture of me in my underwear I stand by that statement after playing the game and playing the beta and playing the demo, game is overrated. It fooled everyone with a nice gloss of paint.

But it still scored AAA, it doesn't matter if you don't think it deserves that or not. /credibility indeed.

Whenever I think Killzone 2, I think sluggish controls, and the annoying loading spots in the single player campaign.

The ONLY reason why I still have a memory of KZ2 in my brain is because it serves as first-hand proof that graphics are useless without good gameplay. All these graphics comparisons and "OFFICIAL GRAPHICS KING" threads are completly useless. If graphics meant anything, KZ2's online community wouldn't be pretty much dead right now.

It takes a game like this to show how great games like Halo and MW really are.

I sure do. It wasn't a bad game but I'll admit, I was lured by the hype. I was in the middle of playing it a second time for the trophies but I never finished.

Yeah I do, the single player was boring, forgettable, generic, I spent all my time waiting for something to happen and it never did... but my god it was a beautiful game to look at.

Exactly. I have always stood by and defended Killzone 2, because it truly is a great well-put together game. People hate it because there aren't as many people online as CoD or Halo for example, and that's something to think about, but in terms of how the game is constructed, it is an amazing game and the physics are great and intense. Call of Duty is basically like World of Warcraft, an easy to get into and easy to play game filled to the brim with people who just want an easy game to play, nevermind if you were to take away all those players, you would see the game for what it really is, a piece of junk inferior to other games in similar genres. Number of players doesn't add to a game's quality. It adds to the level of variance one might recieve when playing an online game, but it doesn't change the game itself.

Yeah...I remember shooting people with 20 bullets in the back, them not dying, then they killed me and I have not touched the game since.

GreyFoXX4

But you enjoy someone snapping the scope at 20 yards and dropping you before you even notice they are there huh? Or better yet you enjoy getting shot in the toe from a fully automatic pistol from 75 yards and dieing huh? Oh yea in KZ2 you can drop up to 3 guys with one clip if you know what your doing. Minus the assult class :). Isn't it funny you used 20 rounds and complain about it, while the other guy turns and kills you with a burst. Its called playing and practicing to be good at a game, geez. You can't just put a game in and expect to be good, you have to play it to be good. Unless once again your still stuck in the cod world of noob gameplay.

No I play SOCOM. So when I shoot someone in the chest 4 times they drop. Classes are annoying as hell in games because if you do not have a lot of time to dedicate to the game, you fall behind.

lol, you bring up the two most repetitive FPS's this gen (Halo and MW2) and then you want to talk about gameplay??? Killzone 2 has incredible gameplay. And it has way more advanced physics/gameplay than those two games that you mentioned.

What do you mean by repetitive? Do you mind elaborating just a bit? It's sounds like the term can be applied to most if not all games in the same genre.

Campaign was completely forgettable, multiplayer was too chaotic except in larger, more open maps where it was pretty fun.

i traded my copy and you dont even know how bad im missing it. the only reason that i sold it was because of MW2. i didnt want to have that many fps games. killzone 2 gave me a more tactlacle feeling that MW2 cant give me. the guns have real recoil, its not just a run n gun game, it takes skill, you dont run like a cheetah, and graphics isnt ugly. sadly there wasnt much in KZ2 to keep me going after i unlocked everything. MW2 is more addicting because of all the challenges and unlockables. but KZ2 online imo seems to be the better one.

Revolution316

Killzone doesn't have recoil. The only time it has recoil is when you're crosshairs are nowhere near them.

I hipfire on all my kills and most of them are across the map and headshots. Why? Because all you need is to have your crosshairs turn red and just press R1 and it's a kill. It's basically auto aim, that's how horrendous the aim assists is.

Team Fortress 2 is by far the superior class-based FPS and it basically copies TF2 but puts more focus on graphics instead of gameplay.

Killzone 2 seemed to just drop off the radar altogether after a couple week on the shelves. The hype dies i guess, once the game is actually released. :P

Um, you said everything I was going to say! KZ2 is a very good game, maybe not great, and far from perfect, but good. I think its just severely hated on because it was unfortunately tagged with unfair expectations. Not only do I remember it, but i still play it from time to time.
