Funny, I've never heard of PS2's crashing anywhere near as much as 360s, and I know that Sony eventually fixed the problem. M$, on the other hand, just changed RROD to E74 to avoid warranty coverage, it seems.

Sony actually charged it's consumers to fix the PS2's issues, that didn't change until they were sued by the consumer, at least with microsoft it didn't reach up to that.

As far as i know the PS2's issues were only fixed once the PS2 slim was out, in other words 4 years after it's launch

Hey, I love the PS3 more myself. Honestly though, I would probably go nuts if I did not have a 360 as well. It is like Yin and Yang, my man. They compliment each other in order to create harmony for my gaming requirements. A perfect balance, if you will.:P

I just got my eleventy billionth RROD, I haven't played a game on it since 2008 (since, you know, exclusives like Halo Wars and Race Pro don't exist and neither do multiplats) I've driven myself into bankruptcy paying XBL fees and every time I turn the system on, it heats up so badly that I think I'm sitting next to the sun. :(

And I really don't care about the PS2's DRE. I didn't own a PS2 back then, and the one I finally got is the sexy slim, which kicks all kinds of ass. But between PS3 and 360, the answer is clear as to who's doing the real milking, and it's definitely not the cows that are getting milked. :lol:

My $200 360 came with a wireless controller... and hi-def cords (more than I can say for the PS3...) I don't have a PS3 yet but plan on getting one... face it, both systems have good exclusives... plus I gotta Jasper so I prob won't see the RROD...

you shoulda bought an Intellivion- those things never get RROD and have some great exclusives!

It still amazes me how anyone can choose the PS3 over the the 360. Hardware issues aside, it's much better. Online is superior, the dashboard and guide are user friendly and extremely useful and you always feel connected to the community. The PS3 just doesn't have that. Besides, what games does the PS3 have that the 360 doesn't? Killzone 2, MGS 4....that's about it. Sure there are other exclusives, but they're not very good, are they? I can honestly say the PS3 is the only console I've ever regretted buying, purely because of the lack of good exclusives, and most multi-platform games I'm interested in, I've already got for the 360.karriston

RROD still effects the jasper units and not to mention e74 error that is starting to hit xbox, there is no way to evade the rrod unless you mod the system yourself.

If I can offer my opinion, the online is actually really addicting. It's an amazingly fun multiplayer experience, not surprising consider it's Halo. The only thing I see becoming a problem once you rise in ranks is that most people play either Anders of the Prophet of Regret and games start to feel a bit repetitive as they all tend to do the same thing.

Halo Wars is great, it really is a very good rts for consoles, The covenant are over powered in skirmish or mp but the game is still great.

Damn straight I don't own a 360. When 5 of my friends have a 360, and all 5 of them have been hit with RROD or E74 and some are on their 4th or 5th 360, I know to avoid it like the plague. And I really don't care about the extended warranty. When I buy a console, I plan on playing it for more than 3 years.

Seriously, RROD still continues, No exclusives, great Sony exclusives, No XBL fees, Wireless included with ps3, no more scratched discs...

It boggles my mind why anyone would want to continue with the 360 at this point. The fun times have come and gone.

Well, I also don't want a 360. None of its real exclusives interest me much other than Star Ocean, and even that one didn't live up to the hype completely. I already own 3 of the 4 systems I want: PS2, PS3, gaming PC (building a new gaming PC for Starcraft II and Diablo III though). All I need now is a Wii for Wii and GCN games, and my set is complete.

I admit I'm a huge fan of the PS3, which is easily the best console of this generation and could possibly be one of the greatest consoles of all time by the end of its 10 year run. I also admit that the 360 is a sad piece of craftsmanship that sucks up money like a vacuum. Finally, I admit that I'm loving the PS2 slim I just bought last weekend since I never owned a PS2 before. =)
