I'm glad I went the PS3 too. It's just worth more to me. While I can't quite play blu-ray movies yet as I don't have an HD set, the games in Sony's lineup are among some of the best I've seen. Plus, great service(not the best, but it's pretty good for FREE), web browser, and other multimedia purposes. The SIXAXIS control is an interesting addition to some games as well. The 360 has some games I'd prefer, like Gears of War and Fable 2, but honestly, there's just not that much compelling titles on that system that I'd feel like buying a system over. My friends only play L4D, Gears, Halo, and most of all.... Call of Duty. I understand that XBL is a superior service, but the only games my friends play is usually Call of Duty. That's a great game, but I just prefer action/adventure games. And the PS3 lineup offers a good variety between shooters, racers, and action/adventure games. NYrockinlegend

Man, people talk so much smack about the 360. It is my fav console of all time (granted I still have my near launch console with no RROD), and I've been gaming since like '85. I had a Wii and sold it. I still don't have enough reasons to buy a PS3. I have more games then I know what to do with. The only other system I am looking at possibly getting is a gaming PC with Diablo, Starcraft, etc coming out soon. 360 has me covered for rpgs (Fable 2, Oblivion, Marvel U.A.), Shooters (Rainbow 6 V2, Halo 3, Bioshock, Orange Box), Racers (Forza, Burnout), Cardgames (Culdcept, Spades, WSOP), Action (GTA IV, Crackdown, Bully), Adventure (PoP, AC), and the all important "other" (Banjo, Viva, etc). I literally will not upgrade to a next gen console for years because the 360 will keep me busy for so long with games that are already released. Stop hating.

I didn't own a PS2 last gen, and it's not until this past weekend that I bought one. But how did Sony milk you with the PS2 other than the console itself? What did you need to buy other than a second controller and a memory card?

M$ charges you for wi-fi, online play, memory cards, DLC, etc., and M$ has a monopoly on those products and services, so you pay out the nose on all of that stuff. I don't know about the PS2, but PS3 comes with free wi-fi, free online play, free hard drive (and the ability to swap in a much larger third party hard drive that works in any PC), and allows free DLC (Killzone 2).

The PS2 was last gen, the 360 is this gen. Stop comparing a last gen console's failure rate to a console in this gen. The PS2 was released in 2000, the 360 in 2005. In 2000 it was more acceptable to have a console break than in 2005.

I still only have the 360 and honestly i see no reason to buy a second console. And this is the first gen i feel this way. It has great exclusives, the best lineup of multiplats possible (PS3/360 and PC/360 ones) and a great online. Really i couldnt be more happy ;)

I don't need to own a 360 after playing and beating Gears 1 and 2 and Halo 3 at my friends' houses. Once you've played those games, there's very little reason to own a 360. And singstar? Seriously? Who the hell buys singstar? LOL.

And point me to one time that M$ gave away free DLC for one of its true exclusives, and that DLC was free the moment it was released.
