have they even reviewed the game yet? and no way in hell that games getting a 10/10.not even close.i say a 9.maybe. also, gta and mgs are some of the most respectable franchises in history. uncharted isnt even close to them.
they didnt want to have an angry 360 fanboy mob on their hands....by what they said about the game, it should have got more. 9.7/10...honestly by the sound of what they said its obvious they really wanted to give that 10...

Most games that get 10's from credible critic sites are really 9.5 games that have an outside influence (not related to gameplay or individual game hype)boosting the score. GTA4 had the whole GTA factor and first new generation GTA game. MGS4 had several years of epic games story coming to a dramatic conclusion.

This must be what MGS4 and Halo 3 hype was like. :( If we're going by a game that everyone rates highly, then GTA4 would take the cake, since it's currently the highest rated game this gen with a 98 metascore, only to be eclipsed by Ocarina of Time when comparing it to every game reviewed by at least 5 reviewers (And recorded on Metacritic) in history.

I actually disagree with scoring systems in general, to be honest.
Lets face it, it not getting a 10 here or at IGN. Why, it would be their third 10 in 2 years! The PS2 had one game that was AAAA last gen (GTA:SA) and the PS3 already has 2! You loose credibility if you LOOK like you giving 10s away. I'm sure IGN wish they could take a few points off GTA4 or MGS4 so this could have some glory. Looking at the review he didn't like 1 level and he thought certain pieces strayed from the plot (supernatural element...)and enemies would pour in the level 5 or 6 at a time (I'm nitpicking with that!). The reviewer ******* loved the game but it wasn't smart to give it a 10. If it had to get a 9.5 then he would nitpick to get it there, not the reviewers fault or even IGN's. Its just business. Read the review for the truth!
