So I guess the PS3 now has better graphics than the Xbox 360 and PC.....?

Everybody knows its comming to PC. Plus you have absolutely no proof Diablo 3 is going to consoles. Until Blizzard officially states they're bringing Diablo 3 to consoles, it's not going to consoles.

Also piracy doesn't mean lost sale, however the used game market is. Games like SC2 wern't affected by piracy at all according to the numbers You can't play multiplayer, the main aspect of the game which is going to last many, many years. It sold over 10 times the pirated count. In the used games market, the money is going to the reseller, NOT the developer. It's almost the same thing as piracy BUT they get all the benefits that people who bought the game new did. PC, consoles, and handhelds all have piracy issues. Consoles and handhelds have the used game resell issues. Who's in the worse positition right now?

And damn right it makes me uncomfortable. I hate consolization.

BOLDED: You're quite the hypocrite

Unnatural101

Aren't you tired of making new accounts and spaming about how Diablo 3 is going multiplat and Codename: Kingdoms is gonna be the new graphics king?

Because it's common sense.

Blizzard doesn't just up and hire console inclined programmers for their health.

You're fooling only yourself to believe otherwise.

It really doesn't help the situation when people keep pretending that piracy isn't an issue with PC gaming....it only hurts yourself, in the end.

As far as the bolded part, the past console Blizzard games, You didn't see Blizzard hiring console inclined programmers.

Like I said....rocket science isn't needed to know what pretty much everyone knows already.....Diablo 3 is going to console.

If that makes Blizzard fans uncomfortable, then so be it. Truth is truth, and lying to oneself isn't a good fix.

Diablo was on PS1....I bet you still loved that game. It's not like diablo is a hard series to put on a console...Especially these days with all the consoles supporting DLC and patches and what not. I would suspect a PS3 or 360 version to be on par with PC version(not graphically, obviously). As long as they dont consolize the controls you have nothing at all to worry about...

Blizzard doesn't make graphics powerhouse. It will not come on par with gameplay imo

It's common sense they're interested in seeing what they can do with consoles. And yes, yes you do. You don't just take what you have and throw a console port out there, it'd never survive! Having a seperate console team would allow Blizzard to design the UI and online system around what consoles can do. The UI, controls, and online is what they need to nail Diablo on consoles. If the team can't come up with something good, guess what? They're released/fired/turned into PC devs and the console version never sees the light of day.

The point I'm trying to make is that as of right now, Diablo 3 is not CONFIRMED for a console release. Blizzard isn't stupid. They know what needs to be done to release quality games, since that's all they know how to do.

You're making it way more difficult than it really needs to be.

Many PC gamers like to use Controllers in their games to. Conversely, Consoles can support and use Keyboards and Mice.

Simple fix and solution....give all the platforms both/all the options.

See how simple that was?

You make it sound like Diablo 3 isn't just another overhead-isometric hack & slash game that's been done many times before.

But this is GAMESPOT....and if I remember right,

"WE FOLLOW THE RULES AND WORD OF GAMESPOT"

PS3 is graphics king....it's official and that's that. 8)

I thought that rule only related to game ratings (ie A, AA, AAA)

Also since kirby's Epic Yarn also got best graphics, is the Wii now graphics king as well?

Wow way to ad hominem man. I mean seriously all of the multiplats on 360 look better so I do not see why people put Ps3 in second place, are you saying that is not a valid arguement or are you just enraged because you cannot refute it?

In some alternative universe where pigs fly, dogs have kittens, people are born old and die young and 2 + 2 = 5. Then sure.

Vesica_Prime
Hey buddy Radiohead told me 2 + 2 = 5 and I'm gonna listen to them God dammit! :P Anyway no, obviously not, the PC clearly has the best graphics. However if you wanna go by the "only Gamespot matters" rule, then we have to say the PS3 devs do a better job of pushing hardware than either PC or 360 devs, seeing as the technicsl graphics award goes to who can do the most with the weakest hardware. It awards skill, not the hardware available.

1. Consoles support lots of devices themselves. As a matter of fact, I was thinking about getting a SPLITFISH for my PS3

2. There are lots of PC gamers that use Controllers....some of my PC friends use it for Team Fortress 2 and Call Of Duty and are good at using it. Guess what? If they can use 3rd party controllers...well, so can console players....they can use Mice too.

Just because you might be particularly bad at using controllers doesn't mean everyone else is.

Most multiplats are deved on 360 and ported to PS3. Naturally they will look better on 360 since they take advantage of its hardware strengths first. This is because the 360 is the bigger money maker, so they spend more time on it. Until the 360 pushes out anything as good looking as Uncharted 2, the PS3 has superior graphics, if only by a little.

This is moot as graphical fidelity could be the work of Naughty Dog alone... I mean if Uncharted was on the 360 and looked worse I would believe you but as it stands the best looking Multiplat available for both consoles looks best on the 360.

At the high end yes, I agree...PC's are the best....but what PC gamers always conviently forget about all of the low end PC's that play many of these games.

Consoles are more powerful than many of this generations Low end PC's, mine included....one of them anyways.

There have been dozens over the years.

This generation, off the top of my head....Sacred 2, Torchlight, Deathspank. I'm sure there's more.

I can't believe you actually had me give examples. I mean....did you really not know this already? Really? :?

torchlight is on the consoles? that's news for me

My point was you don't see many games of that genre do well on the consoles.

Just because you might be particularly bad at using controllers doesn't mean everyone else is.

I can't connect my keyboard and mouse and play Killzone 2, Black Ops, or Gears of War 2. Yet for any PC game, if I wanted to, I could use a controller. It doesn't matter what the consoles support. If the games don't support it then you can't use it.

And it's common knowledge keyboard and mouse trounces controllers, especially in the FPS department. Remember that study MS did where they let xbox and PC gamers play online (forgot the game) and the Xbox owners got dominated? It wasn't even close. Try playing Quake or even TF2 with a controller. You can play, but you will get owned. Controllers need auto-aim to even play FPSes. I'm buying myself a PS Move just because it's better than KB/M. The Wiimote is excellent for FPSes, not as great as KB/M, but better precision and speed than controllers.

^ i play TF2 with the 360 controller and i do just fine.

But for the most part you are right;mouse and keyboard tend to work better in first person shooters.

I can't connect my keyboard and mouse and play Killzone 2, Black Ops, or Gears of War 2. Yet for any PC game, if I wanted to, I could use a controller. It doesn't matter what the consoles support. If the games don't support it then you can't use it.

That's your opinion that K/M is better

That it's better for you...that's a fact.

Why? Because my controller using friends would disagree with you, and there are many thousands of PC gamers that use controllers.

At the high end yes, I agree...PC's are the best....but what PC gamers always conviently forget about all of the low end PC's that play many of these games.

Consoles are more powerful than many of this generations Low end PC's, mine included....one of them anyways.

Unnatural101

A gaming PC from 2006 can run anything consoles can, and gaming PCs from 2007 can max-out/near max out games today. A low-end gaming PC can at least manage basic 720p in all of its games, something consoles have trouble with. Heck today even the GPUs that are cheap and more for movie playback than 3D rendering is better than consoles.

Here let me give you a tangible example so you can be more clear:

Street Fighter IV

Operating system Windows XP or Windows Vista CPU Pentium 4 2.0GHz or higher Intel Core2Duo 2.0GHz or higher Memory 1 GB or higher 2 GB or higher Hard drive space 4.5 GB of free space Graphics hardware DirectX 9.0c/Shader3.0 or higher compatible, NVIDIA GeForce6600 series, ATI Radeon(TM) X1600 or higher, VRAM 256MB or higher DirectX 9.0c/Shader3.0 or higher compatible, NVIDIA GeForce8600 series or higher, ATI Radeon(TM) X 1900 or higher, VRAM 512MB or higher Sound hardware DirectSound compatible, DirectX 9.0c (or higher) compatible

PS3 is more powerful than the low end computer that can run STREET FIGHTER 4 (2009)

So it requires hardware from 2004 to play a game from 2009 on PC? I don't see the problem here.

I agree...no problem here.

PC's are the lowest common denominator for this generation's games.

No problem.

Because all multiplats are developed for low-end crappy PCs first and then ported to consoles...yep. Especially one that was released months after the console version was released, then another Super version was released after consoles. Please come back with a valid (And hopefully better) argument.

Of course it's a problem, anyone can see that. It still doesn't change the fact that more and more games that are from formally console only series are being released on PC, to go along with by far the biggest selection of exclusives on any platform, and no matter how many copies are in the hands of the scumbag pirates, it doesn't change the fact that EA, THQ and the like are reporting huge revenue increases in PC sales via DD, with both of them promising to ramp up their PC lineup in the future. You can also look as MS and their new push to get back into the PC market. Why would they bother doing that if it wasn't worth the effort? As much as trolls like Unnatural101 here like to announce the death of PC gaming, ALL the evidence shows otherwise.

I just wish that posters like that would realize that if PC gaming died, console gaming as we all know it would suffer so greatly, that nearly all your favorite games, and the console hardware that can only come down in price to acceptable manafacturing costs for Sony/MS due to PC gamers buying all those videocards would become a thing of the past. The thing they glorify for the sake a cheap reaction is the death of gaming itself. For that, they can go **** themselves as far as I'm concerned.

Merry christmas

crysis is still officially the best looking game, winning technical graphics doesn't mean it's actually the best looking game, it means the game utilises the hardware to it's maximum potential graphics wise, MGS 4 is by no means the best looking game, but at the time it pushed the Ps3 on agraphics level, so no, only a very silly person would thiink the Ps3 ca beat the PC in visuals, it can't even match the PC' resolution, lol

Since you mentioned EA,

When I see MADDEN back on PC, then I'll give every PC gamer an apology.

Until then, My sentiments of "PC is dying" remains. Ok...maybe not dying....but in a coma.

How much money do you have to spend just to get noticeably better graphics than the PS3? Then how many PCs actually have better graphics than consoles? I rest my case.Keiji993

Lets see....a PS3 costs $300 so you have to spend about $400 more than that to get graphics that are far better. How many PS3 can surf the web, do term papers, create email, use photoshop, have iTunes or Zune network. Seriously, when you buy a computer you're not only getting a gaming machine. i rest my case.

It looks like it--still shocking that some people believe Gamespot's opinion is credible when it comes to judging technical graphics.

No it just means that GS hasn't bothered to actually compare PC graphics with console ones.
