So it's NINTENDO'S fault we don't have GOLDENEYE on 360/Wii.

Why does everyone even want this game? All that will happen is they'll update the graphics, then they'll change the controls for dual anologue, thus ruining the whole gameplay experience, then they'll add online which won't be as fun as it used to be with your friends because online is never as fun as that. Seriously Goldeneye is a nostalgia thing. Nowadays it's simply a good game, people only enjoy it because they loved it as a kid and it brings back memories. You seriously telling me you could play a 4 hour session of it like people do with a new game? Doubt it, you'd get bored of the nostalgia rush after a bit...bobbetybob

Speak for yourself there buddy. I've been playing Perfect Dark and Goldeneye on my PC with a 360 controller with the controls adapted to a rudimentary dual analog setup and I love it. They're more fun now with dual analog controls than the average current gen shooter these days. Hell, due to the upscaling and locked 60 FPS I get on my PC, the games look pretty good too, as far as N64 titles are concerned.

As far as online play, that would be added likely in addition to the four player splitscreen multiplayer that many of us grew up playing so there's nothing lost there and everything gained.

Is it? Or is it Nintendo's fault for letting Rare be sold?

The obvious thing to do would be to work out a deal for a DS version with online /local multiplayer and voice chat .....and forget the 360/Wii versions entirely.

That way they all make money without given any advantage to a competing machine.

how about giving both the exact same version (equivalent to the N64 version)

so no one needs to fight.

Still disadvantageous to Nintendo because of Live's built-in features which are active regardless of the game being played (and even when you're not playing at all).

The DS idea is intriguing, but it's in the same boat as the Wiiware version. Nintendo only owns the compiled code to the N64 version (which it paid to develop and publish)--I'm pretty sure Rare owns the source code needed to code a new version.

it's still BS. Goldeneye is not a system seller. The only sales Nintendo might lose are to those who have a 360 and a Wii and would buy it on the 360 instead. But there are still 8 million more Wii owners in general out there to buy the game. They make more money than they deserve to make.

Through certain methods that I can't talk about, yeah you can.

It's still technically legal since I bought both games on the N64.
