So Killzone 2 was not a console seller?

Looking at the current state of things, the PS3 only surpassed the xbox in sales for 1 week. But currently is falling short on average of 50k consoles per week in all regions.

On a side note, props to Killzones' great graphics, its time for Xbox to raise the bar, if they can... we'll see.

I wonder what will be PS3's system seller that keeps the hardware #'s up there. Hmm, perhaps God of War? But then again, judging by the prior games failing to do so, I kinda doubt it.

KZ2 was and will continue be a system seller. It's an amazing game.
Still, it's not quite the system seller MGS4 was.

As long as the PS3 cost about twice as much as the competition a game will not be able to be a real system seller. In 2008, the PS3 was able to beat the 360 for a while, not because of games, but because it was competitively priced.

It's very hard to determine that, because people may have bought PS3s before KZ2 came out, in anticipation of it's release. And since they wouldn't all do that at the same time it's impossible to say if that's true though.

Well the current sales difference is 8 million, by the time PS3 had a price drop it will be closer to a 10 million difference - considering xbox is outselling the PS3 by 200k worldwide every month.

The pricedrop will only rearrange the chairs on the deck but the PS3's ship will continue to sink to 3rd place.

hey......people were more then welcome to hold off their purchase until the PS3 came out...............and Sony could have launched the PS3 in spring 2006 if they didnt have such a disorganized thing gooing on with manufacturing bluray diodes.

It's going to take more than one game to make the PS3 a system seller.
