Did everyone forget that the 360 was essentially a high end computer with a controller when it came out 2 years ago?

Technology has progressed a lot in the last two years, so why is everyone surprised that the 360's tech is outdated by now?

Hardware can't stay cutting edge forever, and unless they could have used a timemachine in 2005 to get 2008 technology, it couldn't have remained a high end machine. That's the nature of a console.

I bought a 360 for the same reason I have bought every successful platform released in the last 20 years.

Variety. Options. Games. Collecting.

I just happened to get th 360 first and have spent more time with it.

AMD Athlon 64 4000, 2 GB DDR SDRAM 400MHz, PCI-E 6600 GT 128 - 18 FPS

6600 GT costs 150$ alone back to this time.

why would i want to admit that? i've never played on a pc. i can only assume the worst. you are not the gods you people think you are. you just come off as arrogant and chauvinistic.

I would make a poll with the following five options if I could, but I can't because of the 24 hour rule:

I like the 360 exclusives enough to justify buying it.

I didn't know the 360 would turn out this way.

PC costs too much money.

pc gamers get access to game devs, game speak and take ideas from fans on fourms. for exmple gw and wow. the life span of games last alot longer on pc. while on concle the may last for a few days.

Now a days it takes 1000+ hours to play and finsh a computer game.

There is less junk in the pc market. if a a game devs sucks the game will fast in the pc market. there is just less junk in the pc game market.ONly the best game devs can compete

our internet access is free too as well. then there is all the free games pc get like runescape a game that will never be on concole ever

your not geting my point although consoles do infact blow they still have there games that sell like crazy and make there console sell alot theres almost as many as console players together as there is PC gamers now at days and thats pretty amazing.

i am a console gamer, PC doesnt even enter the equation.

Between the wii, PS3, and 360, i chose 360.

i am seriously tired of these threads.........

I love pc gaming, its my prefered platform, but I still enjoy the 360 alot as well.

The reason some of us have both(by some of us i Mean me) is this, I want to play halo 3 now, not 2 years down the line when its released on pc, I want to play crysis now, not 2 years later when its released on consoles. I mean for example, console gamers had to wait till orange box to play a good version of half-life 2, I played it in 2004.

Too bad there isn't a single PC game that has outscored Super Mario Galaxy on GameRankings. Not even your godly Half Life 2. It's not even yours anymore. Consolites have it now. What don't we have now-a-days, aside from all the other incredibly overrated PC exclusives?

Yeah, Crysis overrated. Halo 3 as well. Bioshock and PGR 4 underrated.

I say Crysis - 9, Halo 3 - 9, Bioshock - 9.5, PGR 4 - 9

You can store music on the 360, but I choose srteaming. Straight from my laptop that I can use on a couch. I cal also watch all my downloaded tv shows with my xbox, streaming it from my laptop. And!, the 360 does upscale DVDs. But to each his own!

I cannot understand these casual gamers, if the current console gen last four years it will cost you $20.83 a month to afford all three consoles...(1000 / 48 months)

Any gamer, PC or console who spends so much time debating the merit of their gaming platform of choice online yet does not have the means to spend the twix a month to have all three consoles + their PC are the most casual of causals, just like the TC.
