Oh and the 479 dollar model still doesnt even have wi-fi.(which is 100 dollars more).

Yes, 20 GB is plenty for game saves and the occasional download of demos and movie trailers.

Perfectly fine. HDMI is simply not needed for gaming. If the 360 had a built-in HD DVD drive though, then it would be necessary thanks to the copy-protection technology built into HDMI, which is HDCP. HDCP will also be utilized for digital content on services like IPTV, not just HD DVD & Blu-Ray. That is why the new 360 is needed - because Microsoft is serious about IPTV functionality.

I think that if I had a choice between a $299 Xbox 360 with a 20gb hard drive & no HDMI, and a $479 HDMI enabled 120gig model, I would choose the $299 and use the savings to buy myself three awesome games.thinicer

1 Few people have HD format movies or HD TVs.

2 Downloading content and storing content like music or something on a game system is too new and I bet few people use hardly any space on the 360 at all and it certainly doesn't warrant a 120 GB version...

OP: Few people have wireless networks or even play on Xbox Live regularly.

When I talk about the $299 model I am not referring to the Core package. I am talking about the Premium which will undoubtably see a price cut this year, and I am going to guess that it will be $299.
