So, now maybe Forza 3 gets some deserved appreciation?

Just a thought. We have all been sitting around waiting for "the ultimate driver simulation" when one of the best games of that genre has already be out on the market for a year. Are any of you, who passed on Forza 3 all year, considering checking the game out now, especially those who are dissappointed with the new "driving simulator"?

im not dissapointed by GT5 in the slightest and there are other players who feel the same.

I love how so many new trolls are appearing out the woodwork for one games especially the lemmings who are probably out populating the people in the gt5 topic now its hard to actually have a discussion bout things in the game without some lemming logic stepping in the fray.

As i have said time and time again today both are excellent games, both have pro's and cons.

I doubt that people who wanted GT are going to look to Forza as GT does offer features that Forza doesn't, but I do think that people will appreciate Forza's visuals more and its overall feeling of polish since GT5 seems to have underdelivered in these areas.

GT5 was in the oven for too long. It definitely feels dated. Sorry to say but Forza 3 is a lot more polished even though it came out a year before GT5

AznKSor

Because it's System Wars and they want to rub it into the faces of the Playstation fanboys. It's how the forum works, I gather. I like GT5 and some of the things said are obvious hyperbole. The standard cars look fine, a lot of the tracks look great. The premium cars look amazing. There is a lot of features and go karts are amazingly fun. The only thing is would say badly about the game is that the shadows are blocky, you notice this quickly when the race starts and the camera moves around your car. I don't like the fact they didn't add interior view into standard cars either. It's not the second coming that people were hoping for but unlike others I never really hyped this game and I'm just enjoying a damn good racing game.

That is only one perspective however.

I'm not disappointed with GT5 at all. I do have to say though. It's impressive what T10 managed in just 2 years. If T10 were given 3 years to develop a Forza game, then I could see a true masterpiece.

They should have cut the 1000 cars to 500 so they can focus on making each and every car perfect. Parts of the game also feel unfinished because there are just too many features. Oh no, just because GT5's review scores are lower than Forza's (for now, at least) doesn't mean Forza 3 is finally going to get some attention. Hardcore and Casual GT fans alike are all going to line up and buy GT5 and completely ignore Forza 3, no matter how good Forza 3 is.

You are kidding right? I got the game today and after playing it for a while it seemed that the driving physics is what PD nailed in GT5 more than any other racing game (on consoles at least since I never tried PC simulation games) but I agree the game feels unpolished in certain parts.

Hey, i never said i hated GT5.

But, just having played about 1 hour in the arcade mode, i have to ask, " why cant a car that weighs over 1000 lbs go through a flimsy plastic fence instead of bouncing off of it like it was a brick wall" ?

It is this kind of "detail" that really drags down any believability in the game. The 2-D trees and people dont help much either. The graphics appear quiet excellent in the presentation while you are moving, though. It just seems like this is a old PS2 game with Hi Rez coat of paint.

It can't go through the fence because GT5's detail can only go so far. Only game I remember where you could damage barriers was Dirt in 2007 and Dirt 2

I'm pretty sure most of Codemasters' games have environmental destruction of some sort.

Sorry, I'm more of a 3d guy, not into 2d design, but I just threw your in name into the image.

I tried to make the name perspective match the road perspective, but it was too distorted.

If you have some specific ideas on what you would like for a sig, or specific images just PM me and I'll make it.

^ nice one mate. I was thinking of a less dark tone, and faded into the background. It's hard when you've got three men taking up the whole pic. Maybe the name should go above Richards head at top left :) If you could do me one like that, then I'd really appreciate it :)

^ nice one mate. I was thinking of a less dark tone, and faded into the background. It's hard when you've got three men taking up the whole pic. Maybe the name should go above Richards head at top left :) If you could do me one like that, then I'd really appreciate it :)racing1750

Sounds easy enough. I gotta run to the store real quick, but I should have that to you shortly.

I doubt that people who wanted GT are going to look to Forza as GT does offer features that Forza doesn't, but I do think that people will appreciate Forza's visuals more and its overall feeling of polish since GT5 seems to have underdelivered in these areas.

Actually, after seeing footage/reviews of GT5, the Forza series is looking more appealing (high, consistent quality + tons of customization), but MS isn't getting a dime out of me for Live. 'Guess I'll just stick with PC sims :/

Forza 3 is what Forza 2 should have already been. Maybe GT5 did dissapoint a little (considering the development time and hype), but I still see Forza just as a solid GT copy. After all, look at what the next Forza will be - a Kinect game. Face it, the Forza team knows who's the King and that they can't compete directly with GT anymore. Even Xombies know GT is the better game they just don't want to say it. But I will say that Forza has better track detail. 360's memory subsystem is just better.

kinect implementation is optional :|

and Forza has been outscoring GT since inception, if you prefer GT that's fine, but GT hasn't been king for a decade now

im not dissapointed by GT5 in the slightest and there are other players who feel the same.

Teh Conspiraciez!! BTW, he's a higher level than you, thus he can't be a "new" troll. (I don't think he's trolling at all)

I don't really consider GameSpot's scores as a "de facto" measure of a game's (or series') overall quality ;)

Infact I will argue about Metacritic general scores being of any real revelance of showing a game's quality too.

It's just mass opinion by some people who call themselves "game critics".
