The Wii is a fad because I say it is a fad. And I'm Jesus Christ.

Remember the last time Nintendo made a fad... it was called DS... before that it was Pokemon... before that it was Gameboy... before that it was NES... before that it was Donkey Kong... dude these are not fads they are just hits... try to accept it and it will make it easier when Sony goes bankrupt and MS pulls out of gaming...
Will Never Happen, Sony and Microsoft are Huge corporations, if there gaming divisions dont do well, they usually have other sales to make up for it. Nintendo just sells games...
Having other divisions make up for it is bad business... it worries the stock holders...Nintendo on the other hand made more actual profit last generation than either of their game divisions... also Sony is on the brink of bankruptcy and the company has been struggling for years... now I am not talking about chapter 7 bankruptcy I mean like chapter 11... Micrsoft on the other hand does not want to displease stock holders so if the 360 keeps flopping they may pull out we will see...
dude, Sony has made a profit off thePS2, after 2005 I believe.
Also, the PS2 also experienced the same thing as the PS3 is doing now. LINKSony will bounce Back.
Microsoft, I dont know about them though...

Nintendo still made more money on the Gamecube than they made on the Ps2... but lol no Ps2 was king by this point... PS3 is a flop period it is over. That spells disaster for Sony:

In my, and in many other opinions, there are better action-RPG's than Zelda, much better shooters than Goldeneye, and better platformers than Mario Bros. I've never said that Nintendo doesn't have some hits on it's systems but I'd encourage you to go look at the walls of your local game store and compare the libraries. I wouldn't trade the 2-3 games worth playing on each Nintendo generation with the dozens available on the PS and Xbox walls.
Wii is a fun little gizmo but eventually the casuals not really all that into gaming will loose interest in it. How many versions of tennis and golf does your mom really want to play?

Yours and many others sure... but obviously not the majority because dude... look at the lists... it is all Nintendo and every time a thread about the best game ever is made... Ocarina of time is the first game listed and it is continuously listed throughout the whole thread...
[QUOTE="FlockofSpagheti"][QUOTE="KingsofQueens"]It still has too many kiddy games....
.....still has no 3rd party games....
.....still relies on 1st party games....
.....still has too many kiddy games...
.....did I say it STILL has too many games?

Wii has more third-party exclusives than any system... and the Wii has very few kiddy games... most are aimed at all ages while most of the 360 and PS3 lineups are aimed at ADHD 15 year olds...
Yes, Wii games are aimed at all ages, but bought and played by 12 and under.
you, and everyone else in this thread know that is not true.
My point is that Nintendo, most of it's systems, are not fads but they are nitche markets...they target people who want a more "family friendly" system. They target people who love their 2-3 flagship franchises. However what they don't do is take the place of the more high powered systems.
I'm saying that there is a place for both kinds of systems and one doesn't necessarily rob sales from the other. Reaching 10 million in sales has nothing to do with what Xbox or PS3 will do in the future because, for all the strengths of the Wii, it doesn't do what those other systems do.
[QUOTE="bcrich959"][QUOTE="serg_15"][QUOTE="goodlay"][QUOTE="serg_15"]WII IS ONLY WINNING BECAUSE ITS CHEAP and everyobe wabts ti get their hands on it. cmon 179 pounds for a "next gen system" is too cheap> glad i spent money on ps3 and 360 for decent next gen hardwares that give me moore than metroid prime pokemon mario zelda and party games. if the ps3 or 360 were that cheap then nintendo would of been dead 2 months in the selling. but the handheld are good, ive gor ds lite lolserg_15
If Sony sold its current system at 250 dollars, they would lose so much money, I don't think you realize common sense, if the PS3 was 250 dollars, it would have the same power as the Wii.
forget the common sence, what if sony and the 360 had their hardwares for the same price as nintendo? now anser my question and say nothing else: if sony and microsoft had their hardwares the same price as the wii and sold it for the same price as the wii, do you not think that the wii would be preaty much dead with the technology they have?
No because then the other two would also be using outdated technology to get the same price. I own a Wii and a X360 and to be honest I didn't buy the Wii because of the price, I bought it because what it was doing with the controls interest me for one and I also like many of Nintendos games.
sigh i said forget t the comon sence, use your imagination what if they WERE to keep their tech in a cheaper price anyway u didnt buy the wii becuz of thecheapness but most people did
Oh, well since we're throwing common sense out of the equation then I would still have to say "no" because Nintendo could just sell the Wii for 50 bucks or something. I mean if there is no common sense then anything is possible. :P
