So the XIM3 is geting closer production, do you consider it Cheating?

Or simply enhancing some people experience?

I been following the Xim3 for a long time and will get one when the option comes. However when i discussed it with people they usually get pissed calls me a cheater or get interested themselves.

For people that don't know what the Xim3 is i can explain it fast and easy.

Xim3 is a very smart adapter for mouse & keyboard support for your xbox 360 "also other peripherals like joysticks, steering wheels ect.

Unlike earlier xim variants it don't need to be hooked up to a computer.

The main feature that puts this device apart from other adapters is something called smart translators these smart translators varies from game to game for the best possible mouse and keyboard support. These smart translators are made by a computer that calculate the game and learn how the game reacts to the XIM3 for the best possible experience.

It will also be impossible for Microsoft to detect and dissable this device since it use a valid xbox 360 controlls own signals.

If it's just mouse support, it's not cheating. PC games have support for mice and gamepads. Consoles should too. SilverChimera

Do I think its REALLY lame that consoles don't already allow for KB/M support for games like FPS's? YES!

I love KB/M and it is annoying that I cannot play Killzone 3 with a KB/M because they just don't allow it. It would be so easy for them to do, yet they don't, maybe because console users have this phobia of the superior control scheme, IDK.

Just get a PC, if you buy this item for gaming you clearly wanted to get a PC but got a poor man's pc instead (xbox 360).
And yes it's cheating because games are designed with controllers in mind and difficulty of shooters is lower on consoles than on PC.
And it's clearly cheating if you use it for competitive online gameplay.

It is cheating indeed, but it is also lame as hell that you cannot play these games with KB/M. The fact that consoles have not even bothered to make this an option after all the years is crazy. Then they come out with the Wiimote and Move (both great for FPS games), and say its so much better than Dual Analog, but in fact KB/M is the most accurate and has been at their disposal for many more years, but they just disregard it.

True, I just hate that my enjoyment of KZ3 and such is almost killed because it's Dual Analog :P. Whatever, BF games are where its at ;).

I know a few people with XIM 2 and yes it is cheating. You have way better aim and do many things at once... Like prone, jump, shooting.

ooo I already do that haha. I play with my controller (On the PS3 or 360) ADD remove any controller assistance.

Play WITHOUT AUTO-AIM with a Controller! and I still own =)

They get all mad on my k/ds every round...always get offers to 1v1s. Still win without the need for Auto Aim. =)

I do this to all my games, always try to play at a disadvantage. This makes you a better gamer, with all that practice.

Sounds interesting, but that is indeed cheating and I wouldn't touch it with my 8 inch stick.

I would consider it cheating, especially when you take the auto aim/aiming assist that pretty much all console shooters use into account.
