But, in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter, the exclusives are not the main incentive to buy a console over another anymore, it's rather about the multi-plats and the console than wins this, will win the market, which as of right now, it's the PS4 .....Scorpio might change this? sure ... if they price it right, like 400$, then i'd argue that they have a decent change to gain momentum.

Nope. All I said was that they are not 'true' exclusives, which is an observation, not a value judgement, and I questioned the market viability of a console with no true exclusives, few shared exclusives, and worse multiplats. But I never said sharing games on PC is necessarily bad at all. In fact, when someone made some joke about Windows 10/Xbox One games not counting, I pointed out that the OP actually included Xbox One/Windows 10 games.

Does Sony have more upcoming exclusives? Absolutely. Am I interested in most of them? No. About 2. Also the PS4 doesn't really run 3rd party games better, in fact in a lot of cases it runs worse than the X1 counterpart because PS4 made it look nicer, in exchange for a shaky FPS. Lastly, why in the Hell would you recommend the switch over the X1?

I didn't recommend a Switch yet, I said at this rate, for someone who owns a PS4 and wants to get a second system, a Switch looks to be a more appealing prospect. But not enough about the Switch is known for now, so I can only speak in conditionals. We'll know more about whether or not the Switch is worth it come Thursday.

My belief is that the Xbox needs Scorpio this year to have a true mass market appealing proposition to the public- I can't wait to see what Microsoft do with that, actually. I am just hoping they turn Scorpio into an actual new console instead of the halfway step that they are currently billing it as.

@charizard1605: The Scorpio has definitely got my attention. Here's hoping they announce more games too. Their exclusive lineup and diversity could use some work going forward, I won't deny that.

With scalebound cancelled, there is only crackdown and cuphead for me. I think crackdown may be cancelled too because it too had very little updates like scalebound and was pushed back with weak reasoning. They might just relaunch it as a Scorpio exclusive because the Xbox one may have struggled to run it I guess.

That's all I hope, really- MS have such a great back catalog (Midtown Madness! Age of Empires! Blast Corps!) that they can utilize, but not doing anything with. Instead, they seem to be cancelling more promising looking games. I know most people on here don't care much for the franchise, but I always adored Fable- and Fable 2 is one of my favorite Xbox 360 games. I was gutted when Lionhead was closed.

But hey, Scalebound seemed to be like an awesome, big RPG for Xbox- but then they cancelled that, too. And I just want more diversity in Microsoft's lineup, because as great as Forza is, and as many fans as Gears and Halo have, it's just not enough.

@charizard1605: Well to be fair, Lionhead went to shit. And MS aren't the only ones who have cancelled games. Plus we don't know why MS cancelled Scalebound. Also we got Ori, SO, and D4. And Cuphead upcoming. But yes more is needed.

Forza 7, it's about as certain as Blops 4 at this point; unofficially announced, but it's a safe bet that it's coming. Not that I care, I'm only really into the Forza Horizon games myself, I find circuit sims criminally boring, but nonetheless I'm pretty sure it'll get the critical praise these games typically get.

I'm actually pretty stoked for State of Decay 2 myself. I never played the Xbox 360 game but I played the Xbox One re-release, and I really enjoyed it despite its issues. Really looking forward to the sequel here, though I don't imagine it'll make any splash beyond my personal satisfaction with it.

@charizard1605: Well because many of the consumers are not forum dwelling, counting exclusives gamers. What these people will see this Holiday is the most powerful console ever made that plays COD, Madden, Mass Effect etc. Why do people still assume the entirety of the consumer market are us?

While the cancellation of Scalebound is very disappointing to me I'm still pretty happy with the Microsoft exclusives, I'll probably always love Halo, Gears, Forza, and whatever Rare puts out. Even still the Xbox One is my preferred system of choice for third party games because I prefer the controller, the online functionalities of the system, and achievements.

@charizard1605: Scorpio isn't a new gen though. Phil stated it is part of the Xbox One family. I think you are expecting too much and setting yourself up for disappointment.

those legends cost more than all the sony exlusives ever released, up to the ps1, so you can wave this away as just a dlc, the fact is that this is multi billion dollar business, a game with a major user base that is faithfull to the franchise every year.

There's a reason xbox sells fifa with a bundle a couple of loan legends every year. Since 2013 it has become a part of the xbox brand.

The reason why I got PS4 over Xbone. The quality and quantity of PS4 exclusive will always be miles better than xbone line up. Suck to be them tho, scalebound was anticipated by nearly every major outlet and fans.

Looks like more and more people finally realize how shit MS is.

@charizard1605: to Answer your question. The controller. The Xbox controllers are far superior in design. Nothing on the market touches the Xbox Elite controller.

PS4 will and should always have more exclusive games. Because Sony has to make games for 2 targeted audiences. Japan and America. Half those games are targeted to a specific group.

With that said, The only games I'm truly interested in from either console as far as exclusives go..... State of Decay and The Last Of Us. Spider-Man and Crackdown are my other 2 that I'm interested in. But the rest do nothing for me at this time.

PC / PS4 is the best combo for me

PC / Switch if someone isnt into PS4s great exclusive library

Xbox feels more like a crappy PC box than a console with this kind of lack of exclusives.
