So what you guys think of the UC3 beta so far

Still not really my thing, i'm more interested in the single player.

I got lucky and went through 4-5 matches of TDM in a row (after that my PS3 freezed on me), I love the controls, weapon handling has been greatly improved (they really have a kick to them now, when you shoot a gun you really feel like you're shooting a gun), graphics are great but they still have to get rid of jaggies and sharpen it up, I mean I like the lighting and character models and all, but the jaggies and un-sharpness of the game just isn't doing it for me. There are of course 5 months left of development, and this is only an early beta so Naughty Dog can make big strides for graphics and further sharpening the gameplay. I thought power play would be annoying, but I very much appreciate the feature. This way it keeps the teams more balanced, and the losing team at least has a chance of catching up, or getting some more cash. The power plays aren't overdone at all, well implemented, maps are much much better this time around, I especially love the airstrip opening sequence. Everything also has a lot of "weight" to it, the movements are more weighty and sluggish, I like this change though. It makes it feel like you're controlling a human that has weight. I would prefer it though if they toned down the sluggishness by just a bit, but not too much because Uncharted 2 movement felt like you were controlling paper moving across the environment. Overall I'm pleased with this beta so far, and I love the direction they're going with customization and unlocks. My hype for this game went up, and I'll be playing the beta like no tomorrow. Very impressed Naughty DogHuge step up in multiplayer from Uncharted 2.

I'm gonna be playing a lot more out of this in the coming days, especially when all of these freezing and server problems are fixed (should be good by tomorrow). Can't wait to see more of the other co-op modes, loving the buddy system too.

I just played it and it's absolutely awful, what made Uncharted 2's multiplayer good was its nice flow, Uncharted 3 just feels awkward, the guns are lousy, the characters move and run awkwardly, and it just feels... odd. It doesn't run smooth and flowing like Uncharted 2, it feels bulky, not in a good KZ2 kind of a way, in a bad way.

Better than Uncharted 2.

I don't like it. I've only been able to play a few full matches, but they made the aiming feel like Gears of War. Instant fail.

Other than the aiming and many freezing/network issues, the game is solid. Unfortunately, the aiming is the most important thing in a TPS.

Too addicting, very improved from UC2 and oh god the guns feel so much better now, love it!

Great fun from what i got to play. Will wait till the traffic dies down before i try it again.

And by the way I have 25mbps download and 5mbps upload and my connection is running fine I just downloaded a 2 gig video file without aproblem and it only took 10 minutes or so...

Wish the reticle was a different color, it blends so well with the background.

I'm just laying out my experienc so far which seems to be in line with others whom are haivng problems just connecting to games, lag and such I'm having problems before I even get the game downloaded.
Its currently sitting in my download in the background before it was sitting in my foreground and was taking way to long.

I just played it and it's absolutely awful, what made Uncharted 2's multiplayer good was its nice flow, Uncharted 3 just feels awkward, the guns are lousy, the characters move and run awkwardly, and it just feels... odd. It doesn't run smooth and flowing like Uncharted 2, it feels bulky, not in a good KZ2 kind of a way, in a bad way.

I played 1 full match, went 27-11. Really fun. Got pinned down by 3 dudes .... I was like PUFF RPG!!! .... killed them all. Another time, I killed this guy with my buddy and he left me hanging ..... this dude came up right behind me and snapped my neck. I was like high five!!! ...... buddy ? ..... buddy :cry:.

Disappointed.

I enjoyed the first match I played (though it felt sluggish IMO compared to UC2, but still fluent controls. But I joined in a match in progress that ended fast, then I joined a match that started from the beginning, and it was that stupid plane and truck thing. and my whole team left, plus it was laggy. Which I assume will be fixed by release, (hope they use dedicated servers this time).

It was fun when I wasn't in that stupid plane getting chased by truck sequence, which I thought was temporary? and an intro to the regular mp map? But my whole team left, and then I did as well, so I didn't get to see. If it is temporary, it lasts waaayyy tooooo longg, the other team already had 10 kills by the time it was over. So I say they drop it, or at least shorten it because it is not fun. Just put the regular maps back.

Note: This is from very little experience (like 5 minutes total gameplay time) so I'm sure my opinion will change by the time I'm done, I didn't care for UC2 MP beta at first, but after a few matches I loved it.

Ouch, Infamous 1? I can't remember how many are in 1 or 2, but I'm about to get all of them on 2, at least they made the trophy gold this time... ugh I hated the blast shards.

That's exactly what I though it felt like too, only difference is you don't play as a 250 pound muscle man in giant armor, Uncharted just isn't suited for Gears-like gameplay, and it wasn't just that, the guns, movement, aiming, camera, shooting, sprinting etc. all felt really awkward. It's shaping up to be an even bigger disappointment than KZ3 was sadly...

I don't think this beta will be indicative of the final product but if it is then this will definitely be a #FLOP.

Really? :) I mean I found quite a few already, and it seemed easier, but I was soooo frustrated finding that last one on the first game. But sooo satisfying finally finding it :P

The one match i played that didn't freeze was great
