So what you guys think of the UC3 beta so far

I do not see the problem. I enjoy the beta so far. There is problems with severe lag, stalling and bugs of that sort. But that is what the Beta is for, to find these problems, fix things that aren't working properly or are overpowered and such. The game isn't finished either. And to those comparing it with the Gears 3 beta... you got to remember that Cliffy had stated that the game was already finished and has been finished for some time now. Uncharted 3 is still a work in progress. It doesn't release for another 5 months.

Just finished a full lag,freeze free game. Seems they've ironed things out. Iunno what on earth people mean by sluggish._Cadbury_

I dunno, it just feels like it takes a quarter of a second longer to turn or execute any acrobatic actions. Doesn't sound like alot but you can feel it.

I'm loving it so far!! This game is going to be a day first buy for me.

My only complaint so far is that it take waaaay to many bullets to kill someone. Too many hit markers with me getting a kill.

I can tell you...Definitely not a UC hater here, but from playing the beta I can say this will not beat Gears 3 in the MP department. Controls aren't nearly as smooth(still) ImO. SP will probably be better though.

This. Lags so bad it is like a slide show in slow motion, not to mention the crashes. I will try it again tomorrow, but if it is still a 5 FPS lag-fest and/or freezes up my PS3 then I'll probably just delete it and skip out on this one. I don't want to have to keep doing hard resets on my PS3 because of the crashing.

And by the way I have 25mbps download and 5mbps upload and my connection is running fine I just downloaded a 2 gig video file without aproblem and it only took 10 minutes or so...

I'm just laying out my experienc so far which seems to be in line with others whom are haivng problems just connecting to games, lag and such I'm having problems before I even get the game downloaded.
Its currently sitting in my download in the background before it was sitting in my foreground and was taking way to long.

As much as I love the PS3, it has EXTREMELY slow downloads. Definitely an area Sony needs to improve to catch up to XBL.

Okay finally got the beta downloaded took about 2 hours instead of the 328 minutes but thats still 2 hours for a 2 gig file that on my laptop that could have downloaded in like 10 minutes.

I have only had 3 deat matches, so far soo good.

The power play, always screws me though as I am always on the winning team when it triggers.

I'm from eastern Europe and when i download from the UK or USA store i always download with at least a 1MBps.Don't know which interent providers you are using but i've never experienced download issues from both stores.So far the beta is impressive and knowing ND as a developer they will fix and perfect the multiplayer by the time the game releases.

The lag issues and all of that should calm down. It was meant to be a closed beta... but given the free month of PSPlus, everybody and their grandmothers are downloading and trying to play the game.

But like myself and others have said... Uncharted 3 is not a finished product. This is not a demo of the game.

Anybody who wants to bring up "Gears 3 beta was amazing and smooth and silky like my hair and it was filled with the Cliffy B awesomesauce" really needs to buzz off. Cliffy B already stated that Gears Of War 3 was finishedbefore the beta released. Since Microsoft wanted it to be a Holiday release they decided to hold off from releasing it and decided to put outa Beta in the meantime.

Uncharted 3 is not finished, still has another 4 months of developement. And like I said before... this was meant to be a closed beta, not an open beta for every single gamer on PSN like it ended up being.

Also to those saying that it feels slow and the reaction time isn't what they expected, remember that Uncharted has characters that jump like humans, they don't land perfectly everytime, they have to jump... not just magically float up and then back down like in most games. Characters in Uncharted move more like people... not incredibly well made robots.

You'd swear people that are complaining have never played a Uncharted game before.

Wellit was extremely laggy, glitchyand froze my PS3 multiple times to start off. Butwhen I actually could play through a match, it was amazing. The only issues I have are the fact that the dragon sniper has no unscoped L1 aim and it takes an insaneamount of shots to take down enemies in Coop. I'm sure that they will fix these though.
