I know this probably won't generate much discussion (then again, it IS System Wars), but.... So Dragon Age 2 releases tonight at midnight. My question to you is, who's getting it? What platform will you be slaughtering the Darkspawn on? And....when will YOU begin your Rise to Power? I am for sure. On my computer. Yes, it will be siggied. Also, here's a fun fact: I've never finished DAO. Reason being, I had to keep uninstalling it due to my HDD (144GB capacity....my computer is like 5 years old) getting low on disk space quite often. Game takes 15GB and the installer (since I bought the Digital Deluxe edition through EA) another 6. Look for an unboxing of it on my YouTube channel! Side note: Dragon Age always reminds me of one thing: 30 Seconds. It was pretty much that one song (I think it was the Sacred Ashes trailer) that got me to buy the game. And, the song was a free download courtesy of Bioware!
I am not as I've never been much of a fan of Bioware's game, but I have been coaxed into buying some of their old titles on the PC because I got good deals.
If I ever bring myself to play through those games, and find they're a bit more fun beyond that 4-5 hour mark then I might consider looking into other Bioware offerings, but so far it's a struggle just to play through those first few hours of their older games.
It releases on Friday in the UK, alas if I was back in Australia I'd be playing it. Still have to put down an Amazon pre order, which I might do in the morning.
I'll wait and get the inevitable Ultimate Edition in 2012. I'm no hurry to pay $60 for the game now, so may as well wait, let them milk all the people who buy the game now with a $7-$10 DLC pack every couple months + maybe 1 $40 expansion like DA:O had, and rather than paying over $150 for the complete experience, get it all down the road for $60.
After playing the demo last night, and wasn't too impressed. I'll probably buy it when it's on sale. Should I finish the original first?

Considering that in ME2 the differences are pretty minor with a ME1 save the differences in this where you don't even play the same character or the same region are probably going to be incredibly minor.
if I do ever get it, it'll be in another year when the DA2: Ultimate Edition with all DLC releases, and even then I'll probably wait until that drops in price some
