@Gamerno6666: Keep telling yourself that pal.
Looks like Divinity fizzled out. 711 million pc gamers and only 3,000 are playing Divinity right now.
We were discussing scores, how did you completely change the subject into gamer count?
Why do you always do this?
Divinity scored a 9.0, and was the last somewhat hyped PC game. Not Sims4.
Sales and popularity are more important than scores.
Divinity wasn't hyped. Didn't even get a sticky.
Dreamfall and Vanishing are not to be released on PS4 this year. And who knows when they will ?
Shadow Warrior, for example, hasn´t even been released on consoles yet, and that game is like one year old already.
Wasn't the last Alone in the Dark a complete disaster?
Nop, it wasn´t. But anyway, who cares. It´s a reboot, not a sequel.
The launch trailers look pretty good to me.
2 bug ridden disasters coming this fall only on pc.
Can you lend me your crystal ball that you use to predict that these two games will be disasters ?
Standards are higher on consoles. You cant just release any old game on a console like you can on pc.
Seems like Shadow Warrior sold dismally on pc. Player peak never broke 1000 and only 63 people playing right now. Maybe it will fare better on console.
Speaking of Shadow Warrior
"Bringing Shadow Warrior to PS4 and XB1 has proven to be a challenge for us as we want to make sure the player experience is perfect. In play testing we have been focusing in on the controller inputs and response.
"We recognised that we needed more time to improve this as Shadow Warrior is an old school FPS and this demands perfection. Sadly this means a small delay in the release date, but Lo Wang needs to be at his best on these shiny new consoles."
UPDATE 29/7/14 11:00AM Shadow Warrior will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 26th September, publishers Namco Bandai and Devolver have announced.
Contrary to what Eurogamer was told just a few weeks ago, the console versions will include some exclusive features, as well as "high quality reshaped graphics".
There will be a new Arena mode for you to face waves of enemies with three environments to battle through. Extra weapons will be added, including Serious Sam 3's sledgehammer and Hotline Miami's katana sword.
And how exactly your gibberish disproves my previous post.
Shadow Warrior has been a PC exclusive for a year. FACT. Piss off.
Standards are higher on consoles. You cant just release any old game on a console like you can on pc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
So pc has had the mighty Shadow Warrior exclusive for a year while console get's little, low budget timed exclusives like GTA V and Destiny.
You think something like the warz fiasco would occur on console? Even patches have to go through an approval process on consoles.
Sales and popularity are more important than scores.
1. Bullshit. That is so anti-gamer. The actual quality of the game is most important, and what we have been using here at SW for almost 10 years. Don't try to argue against this, thats how this forum works. (And most other gaming forums).
2. This entire thread is about scores. You can't go into a sales thread and talk about scores when literally every other poster is discussing sales. That is called derailing.
3. There was plenty of Divinity threads. Another AAAE for PC, as PC remains first place in quality exclusives and multiplats. SW uses scores. Not sales.
Guess which system has the most aaa-aa(and a) scoring titles (both exclusive and multiplat) every year for over 10 years in a row....
Keep up the good work Cranler. I'm sure trolling on SW will somehow bend reality and make PC suck.
Sales and popularity are more important than scores.
1. Bullshit. The actual quality of the game is most important to the gamer, and what we have been using here at SW for almost 10 years. Go to vgchartz forums if you want sales to be the most important measure.

It's an unfair thread since no one ever hypes any pc games here.
When was the last time a pc game got a sticky? All those games but none are hype worthy?
Well yeah, there's no getting around it, so far this gen sucks ass. Hopefully things start to pick up in the new year.
This is the worst 1st year in in two or more gens for me. Even the 360 first year wasn't this dry. On that we had a mixture of a few good early gen exclusives and loads of PC ports, which were a new thing at the time. And PC ports are MUCH MUCH better than 'last gen ports' (the shit we get now) because the last gen stuff we've played, the PC stuff we never had the opportunity then. Stuff like CoD 2 was awesome at the time and so on.
While I agree the PS4 and Xbox One have been lacking, I don't know how you can say console exclusive quality has been decaying "year after year". It was just last year that consoles got The Last of Us, Super Mario 3D World and a timed exclusive (until 2015) GTA 5. All upper echelon AAAEs by any definition.
I realize no one acknowledges last gen systems anymore but dang if the PS3 didn't get good console exclusive games throughout its lifetime. And it still has Persona 5 to come.
50 bucks for Ground Zeroes? If you wanna troll, at least inform yourself just a little bit.
$40 for the PS4/XBONE version. Big freaking difference.
Uhh Bloodborne will prove you wrong. And I will buy a ps4 for it.
People said the same thing about Destiny.
$40 for the PS4/XBONE version. Big freaking difference.
For retail. 30 for digital.
Difference is big enough. At least TC should've informed himself better.
I dunno what you're talking about. I am swimming up to my eyeballs in console exclusives. The Wii U library is almost entire console exclusive and rated highly. Not to mention fun. Add in PC and I got the best of both worlds.
It's an unfair thread since no one ever hypes any pc games here.
When was the last time a pc game got a sticky? All those games but none are hype worthy?
Moving the goal post. Moving the goal post. Moving the goal post.
Got an actual argument?
How is that moving the goalpost?
I think it's a valid critique of this thread.
In this thread the pc fanboys are like armchair quarterbacks sitting in the stands too afraid to play the hype game lest one of their games flop. Better to have played and lost than to have not played at all.

360's only big launch game was CoD 2. PS 4 had CoD Ghosts and BF 4.
2006 the only noteworthy games the 360 had were Gears, Oblivion, Graw and R6 Vegas
PS 4 in 2014 has DA Inquisition, AC Unity, CoD Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4, Alien. Also Lords of the fallen, Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor could be good.

Launch: Amped 3, CoD 2, Condemned, PGR 3, Kameo.
2006: Ghost Recon, Oblivion, Splinter Cell DA, Gears, Rainbow Six, Fight Night Round 3, Test Drive Unlimited.
A lot of that stuff was more interesting at the time than the shit we're getting right now.
And that was just the stuff interesting to me.

CoD Ghosts destroys CoD 2. So much more content.
The other launch shooter was Quake 4. BF 4 walks all over it.
AC Black Flag offers more bang for the buck than Kameo and Condemned combined.
PS 4 easily holds it's own in a first year comparison even before the big hitters of fall have released. By the end of the year PS 4 will easily have beaten the 360's first full year.
@Cloud_imperium:
Reviewers have started to take notice that they are playing same sh*t over and over again, and those millions of dollars were just for marketing and not for the game itself . Not to mention , bigger budget doesn't make a better game .
This
So 8/10 is not triple A anymore?
Also games like Uncharted are very much anticipated games as is Bloodborne as you kinda of know what to expect from those, if either of those get anything lower than 8/10 I would be very surprised.
You can get over hyped games on any platform, a lot of these so called AAA games I hate with a passion.
Also Divinity while a good game I would not give anything higher than an 7/10 because of the amount of bugs in the game, it need more polish to be a AAA game in my opinion. Once they sort out all the bugs then it will be but even so it's not a game for most people.
The frame stutter is bad unless you force off texture streaming in the config file (not an in game option) but this causes other minor graphical glitches. Flicking textures, random crashing although they fixed that but why release the game like that? you have numerous items in the game that wont stack even though they are the same, multiple objects with the same name that wont stack, some items with the same name are different items, if you put one of your characters in the troll cave while getting another to read the scroll to remove the stone troll you will have 2 instances of the troll cave one with and without the stone troll at the same time, I assume that is unintentional. You can't get rid of broken quests that are not completable due to bugs, a lot of the quests require pixel hunting to find the answers rather than logic, weapon damage does not stack with tenebrium damage making any points you sunk into weapons pointless if you go for that plus the wrong skill is displayed in the damage description. Oh and the rock paper scissors mini game is flawed, I find it funny how you can never get a draw so is not random and ends up being 50/50 which is not right.
Other than that it is a good game.
50 bucks for Ground Zeroes? If you wanna troll, at least inform yourself just a little bit.
Like, trolling is inherently misinformed.
@Cranler: An example of someone who's fairly tight on money: I have like maybe 20 games for PS3, the only games that weren't 70 euros in there would be Mirror's Edge and Lost Planet 2. So, 18x70=1280. That's probably not the exact amount, so let's narrow it down to 1000 euros. 1k euros for 18 games. Know how much I spent on more than 100 steam games? 590 euros. And no, I'm not one of those idiots who buys hundreds of games just because they're on sale and never completes them. I do n ot have a single game in those 100 that I haven't played, and 90% are completed (the other ones, are just because I don't like them enough).
PC gaming is just effectively cheaper. The hardware part is really completely irrelevant. It's a smart investment.
Nothing. Cheaper way to game. One decent PC will last years for gaming.
Where can I get a $400 prebuilt that's guaranteed to play every multiplat this gen?
As far as games it depends on the gamers habits. I see plenty of gamers buying pc games at full price on steam then they get lured into games they never wanted to buy in steam sales so they end up with a gigantic backlog of games they'll never have time for.
Poor of us, PC gamers :' ( What an aweful thing happens to us. Anything but only not a gigantic backlog of games.
LMAO Cranler has just made the best advertising for PC gaming ever.
You heard him, kids, don´t do PC gaming or else you will end up with a gigantic backlog of games.
Lol this. I don't understand why some consolites believe that having a shipload of games is a bad thing.
Taking things out of context just like Malcovich did. Where did I say having a shitload of games is a bad thing?
Like, trolling is inherently misinformed.
Not if you wanna do it properly. It's easy for people to point out the flaws in your OP if you do so. It all comes tumbling down.
uninspiredcup's trolling is amusing because he does so.
So 8/10 is not triple A anymore?
8/10 has NEVERbeen AAA....
9+ is AAA
8+ is AA
7+ is A
That's how it has always been around here..

Sorry, I can only speak for U.S. pricing.
Seen this a million times: biased, one sided comparison where the pc gamer buys everything on sale while the console gamer buys everything at full price.
A console game buying duo can buy all games at launch for effectively $15. Both buy a new game, trade with each other when done, trade into store for $30 credit each. Console games are the cheapest way to buy games at launch. At least in the US where all non budget games are same price on pc and console besides a few exceptions.
Ebay also has tons of great deals on games as well and of course you don't have to worry about game keys like on pc.

Well, in my country there really aren't any options for physical sales. It's ridiculous actually. So in my case, PC is definitely the cheaper option. And it has also been, imo, a far better experience, than when I was playing on the Ps3 and Wii.
I don't know, I never accused you of that so I have no idea why you are asking me that question right now.

Nope I didn't, you're free to provide proof though if you have some. And I fear I can't delete your posts, only you and the mods can do that.
You're agreeing with someone who deliberately misconstrued my post. Of course I wasn't talking about the original post, it didn't occur to you that I meant delete my post in the quote tree? It is by far the most logical conclusion to come to.

Lol i gues with dat logic micheal bay movies are masterpieces
@humanistpotato: Go somewhere else if you can't follow the rules. You'll just make a mess of yourself.
what rules?
btw i meant to answer cranler, misquote i guess
@humanistpotato: Go somewhere else if you can't follow the rules. You'll just make a mess of yourself.
Eh if you evaluate any entertainment by popularity then you are admitting to being part of the lowest common denominator of society. Congrats I guess. I want more.....but then I'm not lowest common denominator.
Yoshida "only 4/10 sony exlusives sell
Yeah.
So much for console exlusives when most of them are irrelevant.
Seriously most console exlusives are sequels of a sequel of a sequel and aside form that the rest dont get good sales.
i just dont see the point anymore in exlusives.
This Gen just makes pc look better and better every week. I want a ps4. I could go out and buy one right now but why? All the good games are multiplats these days which look and play better on my pc.
@scottpsfan14: I posted a comment before, exlusivity is pointless it costs too much and screws consumers, timed exlusivity for tomb raider? Exlusive rights to advertize that multuiplatform game is on your console?
Where does this corperate slavery end?
I will be honest consoles will never catch up to pc and with each gen they are less revolutionary. There is no need for a console anymore, you may have feelings for sony or ms but i dont. It will be best for consoles to die and be able to stream any game you want on your tv, pc, tablet whatever and play with whatever controller you want.
As for looks? both next gen consoles look like crap ps4 looks like a toaster and xbone looks like a vcr. X360 on the other hand was quite pretty, i dont know whats up with bulkyness but a pc is upgradable with better cooling also prettier.
I have to adress this though
"A console can be plugged in, set PSN/XBL up, and pop a disc in, it installs in like 20 seconds, then run the game. It's convenience compared to setting up Windows and installing drivers."
NO just no, consoles used to be plug and play they are not plug and play anymore.
You put the disk in and play.
Now you gotta make acounts on psn xbl and pay for the mas well, then you gotta install it
Then it takes forever to launch it
But hey the OPTIONAL driver install that takes 5 minutes is the issue?
Come on consoles are no longer convinient or cheap, games cost more on consoles, pay for mp, dlc crap.
This Gen just makes pc look better and better every week. I want a ps4. I could go out and buy one right now but why? All the good games are multiplats these days which look and play better on my pc.
Yeah...but then I haven't found anything currently on PC I want either. I like discs TBH. Not a fan of DL.
It's funny how these PC games are irrelevant but if they get announced as a console exclusive they're suddenly great to console gamers and a victory for console gaming.
This Gen just makes pc look better and better every week. I want a ps4. I could go out and buy one right now but why? All the good games are multiplats these days which look and play better on my pc.
^This.
There is literally no killer app on either consoles that makes me want to buy one. I have a decent gaming PC and can play all the multiplats on that and they will look 10x better, the only reason I buy a console is exclusives. There is nothing at all interesting in more than a year since these consoles have come out and it will be another 6 months or more for the big games like Halo 5 and MGS5 come out. And based on the performance of other super-hyped games in the last 6 months (Titanfail and Destiny specifically) I don't think any of them will convince me to buy a console.

I didn't used to be a fan of digital either. I like collecting stuff and physical games had special meaning but after a few Steam games I realized the convenience and instant, have it now ...assuming you have decent broadband that is. So now I love both, if there's a game that suits me better on PC then I have no qualm's of Dl'ing it no more so than if I prefer it on console and going to Gamestop...it's all the same in the end.
