Oh Nintendo!!!

So Sony is allowed to deliver with 3rd party studios but Nintendo can't?[QUOTE="RyanShazam"][QUOTE="GD1551"]
I don't really care what sony does, they have 3rd party games to back up their average 1st party lineup and even with that they still manage to deliver some new core IPs. Nintendo has a below average first party and rehashing the same games/IPs over and over.
GD1551
What? I never said that. I said sony has 3rd party games to rely on and STILL delivers new core IPs. Nintendo doesn't have it but just continues to rehash the same stuff over and over, and even when they have it (3DS) they still rehash the same shit over and over. It's not to say handheld games have these ridiculous risks behind them that they can't announce a couple new IPs.
And Nintendo is delivering with Bravely Default. A new IP.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"]

Do you understand what the words innovate mean? Nothing was innovative there, and all console zelda play the same from OOT till now, wooo we got multi-directional swinging, soooo different!
GD1551
Are you sure that  you  do?
Â
Do you understand what context is? Please don't come here with your semantics.
Those Nintendo games innovated more within the context of their franchises and within the larger context of gaming in general than any Sony game did; unless you can point me to a Sony game that innovated more than those? Going by your general definitions, I mean.Damn, I was not expecting all these awesome games to be announced today.

Please tell me how those games innovated in the large context of gaming please.
Please tell me how SMG innovated in the larger context of gaming
or Metroid Prime or Zelda after OOT or Starfox or kirby or any of those games?

First you answer my question: can you name any Sony game that did innovate?[QUOTE="RyanShazam"]And Nintendo is delivering with Bravely Default. A new IP.Ragnarok1051That is not a Nintendo IP. I dont care. Sony doesn't develop their own games. So he used 3rd party as a defense, so I used 3rd party to declare this massive ownage!

I didn't realize a Nintendo Direct could stir up Cow's pantyhose so bad. Nintendo should have these more often.

lmao this picture helps prove my point. If you replaced the first picture on the nintendo side with MM or OOT for zelda, Mario 64 for SMW and metroid fusion for Metroid prime, you can easily make the same thing for the nintendo side  .I also don't know why you guys keep bringing up sony.. did I mention them somewhere?

You know an argument is poor when it's based on "ifs." Can't wait for what's next. "If you replace the third Uncharted game with Uncharted Fight for Fortune then Sony innovates, duh!"[QUOTE="GD1551"][QUOTE="charizard1605"]

Even "if" we did replace the picture like you mentioned it doesn't help your point. Ocarina of Time, WindWaker, Skyward Sword all came out different gens. Uncharted 1,2 and 3 were the same gen!!![QUOTE="mems_1224"]What's people's obsession with new IPs? There are tons of new IPs every year, so what if Nintendo isn't making new IPs if they're trying different things with the great IPs they already have. GD1551
Except they aren't trying different things?
Yea they are. Nintendo takes more chances with their franchises than anyone else. Just because you don't want to see it doesnt make it true.[QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"][QUOTE="RyanShazam"] Even "if" we did replace the picture like you mentioned it doesn't help your point. They did? Majora's Mask plays like Skyward Sword? Holy crap, I did not know that.
LMAO yes it does  oh goody you can swing in another direction in SS, it only took 13 years

If we're talking about first party games, both you and GD1551 seem to have skillfully sidestepped Project X.GD1551
You don't even know if it is a new IP :| everyone thinks it's Xenoblade 2. If it was a new IP wouldn't they just say it was a new IP?
They said it was a new IP. No one thinks it's a sequel. It was not announced as a sequel. It was announced as Monolith Soft's newest project. By your logic, The Last of Us is not a new IP until Naughty Dog explicitly states it is not related to Uncharted; hell, who knows there might be a Drake cameo at the end. UNCHARTED REHASHThey did? Skyward Sword plays nothing like Ocarina or Wind Waker. Sorry. "Here's my newest project with a code name and no real reference to being a new IP or not, that kinda looks like an IP of a game I had before" but you surely think it's a new IP....
Also you example was just stupid, TLOU isn't a code name so we know it's a new IP. Infact, why do you clowns keep bringing up sony anyway?
