Killzone 2: 2.02M out of 27M bought this game (7% of PS3 owners)
Mass Effect: 2.08M out of 34M bought this game (6% of 360 owners)
LittleBigPlanet: 2.50M out of 27M bought this game (9% of PS3 owners)
Left 4 Dead: 2.45M out of 34M bought this game (7% of 360 owners)
Heres some funny ones:
Killzone 2 launch week: 750k (remember, this game supposedly sold "nothing" and nobody cares about it  )
Forza 3 launch week: 240k
Also, heres some 360 multiplats lifetime sales (These are to be compared with the PS3 exclusives above):
Bioshock: 2.34M (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase)
Fallout 3: 2.63 m
Orange Box: 0.91 m (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase) (killzone 2 outsold this game on a smaller userbase)
Fight Night Round 3: 2.03 m (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase) (killzone 2 tied with this game on a smaller userbase)
Fight Night Round 4: 0.89 m (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase) (killzone 2 outsold this game on a smaller userbase)
Resident Evil 5: 2.37 m (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase)
Street Fighter 4: 1.27m (LittleBigPlanet outsold this game on a smaller userbase) (killzone 2 outsold this game on a smaller userbase)
Next time you talk about how poorly Killzone 2 sold, remember, you are also talking about how poorly these other games sold.
Why are you playing the percentage game? Percentages are misleading. Anyway, Why are you taking multiplats and comparing them to exclusives. Their sales potential is dampened by being available on another platform. Why are you using VGchartz? You have perfectly picked out your games too, its so ridiculous. Why is there no Gears? Why is there no Halo? Why is there no COD? Why is it okay that LBP, Sony's premier title last holiday season was barely able to edge out some multiplats with less hype? Also, where are you getting this smaller userbase crap from? The PS3 and 360 have essentially equaled each other in sales each year. Hence its safe to assume that the PS3 in its first year should have been around the 360 in its first year. Orange Box and Bioshock are from 2007, that's where most their sales came from, at that time the 360 install base would have been what the PS3s was when LBP launched. Then there is demographic, why would FN4 sell more than 3? 3 was the new hot next gen version. Why are fighters that are all but dead in terms of sales potential being compared to something like LBP and the hyper popular FPS genre. No one thinks 2 million sales is bad. People think its disappointing considering the developent time and money spent on KZ2. I disagree but you are twisting the argument. Not that it matters, all your posts do this.
um and i could use the argument using ps3 exclusives actually benefits 360 side because there are so many ps3 exclusives to choose from so of course they dont sell as fast when your busy playing many games. sure halo sells but what is it competing against? nothing. i havent even got uncharted 2 yet cuz im busy with ratchet, demons souls, wanna get fifa, dragon age....ALL on the PS3. you get what im saying? :)
