I hope so, i dont see how they can get the speed and challenging elements that worked so well in 2D translated to 3D, ah well I have my fingers crossed :)

Wow! 11 days already!?!

Also, check out GameSpot's preview, it's a positive feedback. In fact, the last part says that they'll take this game over the 360's and PS3's version.

Woah, I missed that one. Good to hear GameSpot is saying good things about this. It only gets me more hyped. Oh, and the story doesn't actually sound that bad. Weird, but the concept is neat.

The first review is in! Game On, a video game TV show, reviewed the title, and the score? 9.2 out of 10, AAA. Here's the breakdown: Pros- Fast, enjoyable gameplay Tons of replay value Good camera Good controls that-once you get used to them-work with the game nicely Story that is funny on purpose Enjoyable Multiplayer Japanese voices available Cons- English VA’s Annoying helper Shahra Some level up powers seem like they should of been available from start” One major caveat, though: The trustworthiness of the review is... questionable. This same source gave Sonic the Hedgehog (PS3, 360) an 8.7. SOURCE

Look at the summary of their review. "Fast, enjoyable gameplay" "Tons of replay value" "Good camera" Sounds promising to me.

im gonna buy either ssx blur or sonic and the secret rings. 1up, ign and gamespot are the reviews i will take into consideration.. but what kind of name is "sonic and the secret rings"?!.. i mean, "Sonic Wildfire" sounded so much better.

I'm guessing the name links in with the storyline better than wildfire did. I hope its a great game because I want another great Sonic to be out but I just got a 360. I want a Sonic game and may at some point have to get a Wii to play it as the 360 Sonic game is apparently crap.

yeah it's great but there is one problem the same tv show gave sonic the hedgehog(ps3,360) a 8.7 soooooooo ........yeah. I really want this game it looks really fun.

How is this any less relevant than hype for Crackdown or Formula 1? Sonic has been a rallying point for Nintendo fans for this Spring, and one way or another, ownage will be dished out.

Okay, God of War 2 then. My point still stands. And you say Crackdown is a casual type game but Sonic isn't? Remember, every main Sonic game on the GCN sold very well, with Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and Sonic Heroes selling over 1 million units each. Bad games or not, Sonic is still very relevent.

...? ... Ah, you must've missed the "How to handle hype in SW" sticky thing. It was decided the best way to handle hype for main games (i.e. putting some order to the cries of TC/S/L/HHBO) was to make an official sticky for the game and to stop the hype when the first review came out. Sonic and the Secret Rings is a big game for the Wii's spring lineup, as big for the Wii as Crackdown for the 360 IMO. So, IMO, it deserves a sticky. Bit late though, as the first review has come in. Guess it's time for some brave soul to wade through the 300+ posts and figure out who said what.
