I do think those numbers are shipped, and not sold. Why? Because they said they reached 20.2mil by the end of February, and I don't believe they sold 2.1 million consoles in March alone.

PS4 is a force in the sales market. Absolute beast. PS4 alone beat both the x1 and 360 combined. I mean, damn.

Makes me a bit more excited for E3 if Sony is actually going to show some imminent games. There's not a huge amount on my radar on consoles over the next year.

Sony will invest in first party in addition to their primary focus of selling more PS4 and subscriptions of PSN. They not going to say anything different here, but didn't actually given any evidence or details of what they going to do.

Those are great numbers for Sony in such a short time for the PS4. Now it's time to bring the games for the next year. Need to start getting excited for the exclusive software for the PS4.

I think people really need to stop trying to differentiate "shipped" vs "sold". Sony sold 22.3 million PS4s to retailers. If they were sitting on shelves, retailers would stop placing orders with the manufacturer (Sony), and sales would go down.

It's 100% legit for Sony to say "We sold 22.3 million PS4s", because they did - they sold that many to retailers.

And @finalstar2007 , the same goes to you. Also, I don't seem to remember you bitching that Sony did the same thing during PS3 days...

I remember when the TC didn't care about sales.

I still think the Xbox One can catch up to that by the end of the year. I mean Halo is set to sell 30 Million Xbox Ones!

I, for one, welcome our new Japanese overlords.

Still no games to play on it other than one.

Every single store I go in, they have Xbone on sale. I went into Best Buy last night and they're offering $175 credit towards an Xbone with a trade in of a PS3 or 360 on top of a $50 gift card after purchase. At Fred Meyer, they are selling the Xbone for $50 off on sale and Target was offering $50 gift cards with purchase of an Xbone. Meanwhile, PS4 was not on sale at any location and never is.

Xbone can slash the price and give away as many free games as they want, but the world's perception of it is that it's not even half the system of the PS4.
