The gains are too numerous and PC install base eclipses both consoles, still. Plus shared dev tools allow developers to convert games from PC to Xbone in a matter of literally one day (Shovel Knight). I don't think so.

Ahh, we're just a little different. I get games like FPS, MMOs, RTS and flying sims on PC for the KB/M controls (I also have a nice flight stick). For other games, I actually prefer a controller or chilling on the couch for a romp. It just so happens I largely prefer the games in terms of playing hours that I get on PC so it is by default my platform of choice. However, I do enjoy console gaming and have a PS4 and WiiU for the odd/end mp title I prefer couching it on and the exclusives.

The Xbox has literally no appeal to me. I would like to have Forza Horizon 2 on PC but I'm not going to run out and buy an XBone and a steering wheel for one game.

Oh that's all fine, I'm not doing the stupid "multiplats don't count for PS4!" thing. I just mean, that guy said "for those of us who have a gaming pc, yes, the gap is huge, almost every xbone game is on pc/will be" What is the huge gap between Xbone and PS4 in that case? Both consoles have multiplats also on PC (such as Far Cry 4), both have console only multiplats (such as Destiny) and both have a few good to great exclusives (Infamous vs Sunset Overdrive, etc)

I really don't see any great gap between their game libraries at all. I mean, sure, pick the PS4 but there's not any significant gap between them, that I can see.

The gap isn't that big at all, you probably can count on 1 hand the amount of exclusive for each console unless you put Nintendo in the mix. All their games right now are exclusives.

I strongly disagree. The only reason the XBone has the library it does is because exclusives for the 360 dried up real fast in 2011 and 2012 and were literally nonexistent in 2013. MS telegraphed the punch years ago and unless they have a massive change of heart as well as a focus on quality, there's no reason to think the XBone will be a viable platform in 2016 and 2017.

As far as I am concerned, it's a console with one last party left and that's Halo 5. A party I'm invited to but don't plan on showing up for. Not after 343i has showed a penchant for shitting all over the one franchise they are tasked to do a fucking thing with.

Okay, that not withstanding. The XBone was always going to be the platform for people who are gluttons for punishment. It started bleeding exclusives right from the start. It's succeeding a platform that rolled up the red carpet about two years early. It's first best developer LEFT last gen and it's second best developer team has been relegated to motion control games for half a decade. The only third party IP it developed whatsoever is now being tasked to an unproven first party studio who has showed literally nothing up til now.

In the face of all these truths, here people like you are, saying that one must jump onto the first opportunity to get on this ride basing all arguments on logic that should have made you run out to buy a WiiU, instead. That's the console of today if one must differentiate from PC to any degree at all. Day in and day out boo-hoo crew on the PS4 over this? There's no way to rationalize what is clearly a poor decision.

If you knew me, you'd have realized that I stated numerous times that I was going to get a Wii U around Christmas.

You have a WiiU? That's the real ticket. At least right now it is. Literally more good games for it than can be held with one hand. Both PS4 and XBone have mad catching up to do. Of course, with Sony's market position and the fact they are spending over 100B Yen on the division this year, it seems well on track to be rectified.

I will say that I am encouraged by Spencer saying they are focusing on first party offerings at E3, but that's not going to mean anything if they can't get 343i to get a real good Halo game out first and foremost. (Hated Halo 4)

That's an odd statement to say people that own a X1 is glutten for punishment. I have an X1, I have all 3 consoles really and have been playing my X1 more now after beating BloodBorne and I'm having nothing but fun playing it. It might be punishment for you, although I don't see how but there's nothing punishing about it. It's a great console.

I've been replaying Axiom Verge for a full completion run (No guides). Once I do that, I'll get Bloodborne. What are you playing on XBone? The main game that's been eating my time is FFXIV. Trying to complete the Coil before Heavensward drops. (on PC, though)

Just got Ori so I'm playing that right now. Been playing Smite heavy and almost done with Resident Evil. I was going to get Axiom for the Playstation but decided on Hell Divers instead.

If you liked Metroid games at all, you definitely owe it to yourself to get AV. It is quite good!

They're forecasting another sales increase this fiscal year to 16m units. Pretty beastly PS4 sales and their network revenue will only go up, seems they're expecting to get hit by the currencies again.

This is why you need to actually pay attention to the detail. PS4 h/w sales are up in that graph only because the system was actually sold for all 12 months of FY14 vs only 5 months of FY13.

In reality, PS4 sales are down Jan - Mar 2015 vs Jan - Mar 2014 from 3.0M units to 2.4M units.

The statement that PS4 sales for the full FY are up is completely misleading since the damn system wasn't even available for sale for the full previous year. This is typical PR speak that all company's do, which is factually true but meaningless and misleading. I'd say the same for MS or Nintendo, so don't fanboy me.
