The problem is that there's just no reason to own an Xbox One over a PS4. PS4 just does everything better. It's not often that you see a console actually be the worst in every department which is why no amount of sales/price cuts/bundles can save it.

I do think those numbers are shipped, and not sold. Why? Because they said they reached 20.2mil by the end of February, and I don't believe they sold 2.1 million consoles in March alone.
It's shipped just like MS numbers were shipped. Nobody announces sold through numbers in earnings reports.
Dual Shockers is saying sold, which is why I clarified it.
Sold to retailers doesn't = sold trough is they are saying sold trough they are talking about units sold to consumer if they say just sold or sold in is probably retailers.

And they get just as strong sales in Europe and the rest of the world so 22.3 million by now isn't that hard to believe.

In terms of development cycles and budgets, JRPGs are pretty high up there. Since the Japanese console market isn't like it used to be in the 90's and early 00's, you should realistically expect the JRPGs to come out on Gen7 systems for another year. Depending on how easy it is to port a game to Gen8, you may want to brace yourself for the late adoption curve with that genre. Of course, thankfully, FFXV should help to jump-start the process to some degree.

No issue. You just said sold through 20 million. They had actually done that by the end of Febuary. I understand that 22.3 million is how much they have shipped, but they are probably more like 21.4 million sold or whatever by now in the last 2 months especially with those NPD numbers lately.
real question, is Halo still good? I stopped after playing Halo ODST. Hated that game. Halo CE is my favorite Halo game and one of my all time favorites, Halo 2 I hated, 3 was ok. I dont have an Xbone, but if the trend of Halo games is improving, I may consider investing in it. Some good games on it already, but Halo 5 would be the game that seals the deal

Umm, it's easily a million worldwide dude. They essentially sell a PS4 every 2 seconds. That's a smidge over 1.3 Million a month dude.

I'll say again, PS4 sold through to consumers 20.2 million units worldwide by the end of Febuary. They announced it March 1st. They have now announced today that they have shipped 22.3 million PS4's worldwide to retailers. I made the suggestion that about 21.4 million PS4's are now sold worldwide. That's what?.. 1.2 million consoles from March 1st to now? Not unreasonable at all.
