you're forgetting that if it wasn't for monster hunter, the psp would've pretty much have been just as dead in japan as it was in every other part of the world. Plus DS's support has dropped because nintendo has shifted focus on the 3ds. It already had the psp beat a looong time ago[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]

Actually, Sony pretty much made the DS non-existent in Japan which ended up cutting off the majority of support for the system. This is why Nintendo is now trying every desperate move they possibly can to make the 3DS relevant in Japan - like getting MH4 on the system. And if you say something like, "Capcom's just betting on the winning horse!" I doubt they actually are. When even the investors don't want the game on the 3DS, you KNOW that Nintendo's dishing out for cash. Why does Nintendo need MH4? Like I said, they don't want to be obsolete in Japan because, last gen, a Sony handheld served them.

Haha, it's a symbiotic relationship, actually. MH was NEVER as popular as it is before it went to the PSP. If it wasn't for the PSP, MH would NEVER have taken off. No, the DS's support was cut off a year ago because third party developers abandoned it.
and a year ago Nintendo announced the 3ds. WELL IMAGINE THAT
