[QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]The absolute worst thing about playing a PC game is the keyboardVelocitas8
How do you figure that? For shooters, at least: trying to use an analog stick to replace keyboard movement is idiotic.
You can already use an analog stick + mouse with PC shooters, by the way. It's interesting to try/experience, but nobody actually uses it because it's inferior (as explained previously.) The keyboard is superior for quick, precise movements in shooters. It's physically impossible to shift movement direction with an analog stick as quickly as you can with a keyboard.
I prefer analog for movement. It's much more fluid. Additionally, there are a lot more controls mapped to the keyboard othre than movement, and this is where the keyboard feels like a clunky mess for controlling a game.
The difference between a keyboard and controller is much larger than the difference between a controller and mouse, so for me a controller will always win out.
M/kb are fine for very slow paced games, but when the action picks up they really show their colors as controller interfaces that were adopted out of necessity rather than the effectiveness of their design as game controllers.
