Nope, those without reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. ;)Â

MS is making a business model out of indie/user created games.
sony is talking..;)

Which coincidentally enough PC indies have done for around a decade now. PS3 came with indie games downloadable around a month after launch, it was nearly half a year for 360 to get similar offerings. Now, PS3 obviously can't be "first" if they launch a year later and indie offerings come to 360 half a year later but on a launch comparison PS3 was once again..first.
See the problems with your post?
Btw, I'm bookmarking this too..way too funny. Too bad we can't get posters custom tags like Neogaf (where you actually would have been banned by now for trolling).

the ps2 was not subscription based...;)
tango90101
The lack of a subscription is an asset, changing the rules again? Heres the rules I'll put in place then:
1) First to do something
2) MUST BE FOR CONSOLES
3) Must not be online distro
4) Must be completely original
5) Must not be subscription-based
6) No more than 10K lines of code
7) Includes letter "X" in the title
8) Programming team limit 10 ppl
See how easy it is to make an argument unwinnable by constantly changing the rules?
Â
maybe if you understood the core point, you wouldn't have gone to so much trouble.
this was about the 360 vs. ps3 offering usercreated and indie content via download. (it's the ONLY means ms has stated for releasing indie content)
yet you and the other fanboys had to take ONE sentence out of the entire article to key in on in hopes of looking "cool".
pathetic.
come back when the ps3's PSN lives up to xbox live...;)
Now it is between Xbox 360 and PS3 only. I can't believe the TC is still posting.Â
i never said otherwise..
it's the insecure hermits and cows who brought pc into this....
the article made NO mention of pc..and neither did i...

http://crunchgear.com/2007/04/23/sony-says-it-may-allow-indie-developers-for-the-ps3/
apparently they want to offer their gamers the chance to create their own games on the ps3.... much like what MS is offering...
this should be interesting to see what gamers can come up with....:)

Poor HD... he doesn't even realize that the article he linked to says that Sony was the first to do this "years ago".

Keep up the good work HD ... I can always use a laugh in the morning. :lol:Â
how many user created games are on the ps3..?
yep... none..
xbox live? marble blast is one...
yep, sony is "first"....
Â
This is not about who had the first game available for the public. You accused Sony of copying MS by announcing the ability for the public to make games. It has been pointed out a number of times that SONY was the first company to offer this feature.
Now. after being made to look like an ignorant fool, you try to change the subject? That is sad. If want to have any credibility at all you should admit you were wrong and move on. By trying to spin your way out of this you only make yourself look even more ridiculous.
poor rosie... try some decaff....
look we're talking about the ps3 and 360. I assumed you cows knew it was about online distribution as no user created 360 games are coming on disk that i know of... only online distribution...
it's already been established Marble blast was first using XNA and avail for d/l...
the ps3? none
"ignorant fool"..? funny becuase you report posters for less than that...;)
NO, I report posters for blatant trolling. I can't help it if GS looked at your behaviour and said it was a bannable offense. I strill have the angry emails you sent me crying about how unfair it was. I like to read them for a good laugh from time to time.Â
I've been banned a few times, sometimes I think it's unfair, but I've never sent such an agry, irrational email to anyone because of it.
The fact is that, as usual, you made an incorrect claim in order to spew your irrational hatred for Sony. You have a double standard where it's okay for MS to do something but not okay for Sony to act in the exact same way. In this case you call it copying...something MS has built their entire fortune on. But when you think Sony has
copied" somebody you bash them for it.
Meanwhile, when people point out that you are wrong and Sony was the first console maker to do what you accuse them of copying, then you start making up the rules. SUddenly it's only relevant if it's online on a Saturday afternoon from 2 - 4:30. Any other time doesn't count. then when people call you out on this you act like they are stupid for not divining the secret meaning from your original thread.
So I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that you can't admit being wrong (no shame in it, my friend) or that you never seem capable of making a proper thread that people can properly understand.
I'm JiggleBilly1983 and i approved this ownage.

Now I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but.."tango90101 has contributed nothing, absolutely nothing to GameSpot."

I'll just referr the posters here to this:
Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.
In its exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend subject matter divisions: clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, sound evidence, good reasons, depth, breadth, and fairness.
With a vote now, who more exemplifies these qualities? Tango90101 or myself?

My guess is Tango didn't
In games industry Indie doesn't mean independent . Every indie dev is independent, but not every independent dev is indie. Independent simply means not owned by some other company. For example Valve and Epic are independent developers, but they sure as hell aren't indie. Indie dev is just very small indepdent developer who makes "do it yourself games" and operates in certain niche.Simply put they are "bedroom game makers'

They are keying in on that one point, because that one point was yourONLY point originaly!! It wasn't until after you have gotten owned numerous times that all this other crap got involved. How about this? MS is copying Sony by creating a console period. They are also copying Sony by using dual analog sticks on the controller.... See how completely idiotic that crap sounds, well that is EXACTLY how you sound right now.
where are all those xna games? I thought people would be allowed to post them for download?
I thought it was weird. Ms and free material don't go together. Xna is just another way to make money for them.
