Really, the mention of Hannah Montana is disturbing for Sony's part, especially since it is aimed at kids. Not to mention that Assasins Creed also came out on the DS.

What about New Super Mario Bros, the Ace Attorney saga (four games), the Megaman games (two of them), the Advance Wars games (two of them), the Castlevanias (three of them), the Sonic games (two of them, and the only good Sonic games on ages), Mario Kart DS, Crono Trigger, TWEWY, Zelda PH, Ninja Gaiden DS, Contra 4, Pokemon P/D/Pl, Professor Layton, Hotal Dusk, Bleach (two games), GTA:CW, Henry Hatsworth etc etc etc.

What's shovelware or gimmicky on them?

I'm not a kid, yet in ten minutes I'm going down to my local gamestop for the midnight launch of the DSi. Sorry sony, but I go where the games are, it's nothing personal.

Mature gamers also buy GOOD games, regardless of the rating on the front.

mmmmmm, im 27 and i prefer my DS to my PSP and im sure ill prefer DSI > my PSP aswell.

I love the games on the DS and not to mention its got the best GTA game to date.

its not the rating , Nintendo doesnt Develop games solely targeted to Mature Audiences. SCE and MGS do , and I find it odd that Nintendo essentially never has Sonic_on_crack

I don't find it odd really, since Nintendo's always maintained a family-friendly image, and they know that their games appeal to both kids and adults alike (with the possible exception of Wii Music :D).

It's the same reason I believe Microsoft won't go as far into the casual market as Nintendo has, as their image has always been macho, gun-toting, "hardcore" fun.

Actually, now that I think about it, they both seem to be necessary counterparts of each other. :D
